Of course, it stands to reason that winning one game in New Orleans is huge -- and it's all the better to get game 1 and get the series rolling.

With that said, assuming that he doesn't suffer another injury and is fully back into the rotation, one win for the Spurs against the Hornets (any win) will ensure that Robert Horry will pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and sieze the all-time record for playoff games. Kareem played in 237 and Horry has now played in 233. It's been discussed before -- and it's a significant accomplishment -- but it's finally right there for Big Shot Rob.

If you want a comparison of just how many games 233 playoff games really is, think about it this way: while Robert Horry has played in 233 playoff games, the entire 15-man roster of the New Orleans Hornets has, after the round 1 victory over Dallas, accumulated 269 playoff game appearances. Take out the Hornets' combined 47 game appearances in Round 1 and Horry entered this postseason leading their entire roster 229 appearances to 222 appearances.

I don't really count Horry minutes as a sure thing anymore. I hope Pop puts him in for spot duty, but he hasn't really been justfying minutes lately.

In Duncan's practice interview he said that it looks like Horry is "rounding the corner" and that he (Duncan) hopes Horry has some big shots still in him.

In his interview Horry said he feels like he "chinked off a lot of the rust" in the loss where he played 20 minutes. He also said that he has a sense of pride about being so close to passing Kareem.
