It's to give the stadium the look of confetti, you know fiesta and all that.

Oh and I was looking at Udoka, thinking it was Parker, and I was like wow Parker looks alittle off there, then as I started scanning the pic until I finally realized Tony Parker was on the left Finley. Is it just me or do they look alike or not?

Oh my goodness! That's hilarious. I think I read an article about that. And also Malik said that he wanted to paste Manu's face on the photograph since he didn't show up. And I also think Manu put up big numbers in the next game to make up for it!

Manu Ginobili and Kevin Willis showed up at the Spurs' practice facility Monday morning for shootaround, which would have been fine had the rest of their teammates not been standing 20 miles southeast posing for the annual team photo on the SBC Center floor.

While Willis raced to the arena in time to be included in the final few frames of the shoot, Ginobili was unable to overcome the traffic-and-thunderstorm tag team. To prevent future problems, the Spurs presented him with a shiny silver alarm clock.

As sheepish as Ginobili was for his tardiness, he made sure to announce his return to the SBC Center 10 hours later. He punched in a violent left-handed dunk over Cleveland's Carlos Boozer and Zydrunas Ilgauskas for the first of his 21 points, then proceeded to lead the Spurs past the Cavaliers 101-93.

The Spurs' ninth-consecutive victory at the SBC Center allowed them to maintain their position in the middle of the Western Conference playoff race: 11/2 games behind Midwest Division-leading Minnesota and one game ahead of fifth-seeded Memphis.

"That was impolite," Tony Parker said of Ginobili's dunk, not his late arrival. "That wasn't fair to those guys.":lol

To delight of the 18,797 in attendance, Ginobili also was kind enough to upstage the Cavaliers' own one-man highlight show, LeBron James, who was making his first SBC Center appearance. Ginobili left his seat on the bench with 5:16 left in the opening quarter and scored eight-consecutive points, after which the Spurs never trailed.

"He took it over there for that first couple of minutes," said Tim Duncan, who totaled 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 28 minutes. "Defensively we weren't solid in the first half, but he kept us alive offensively."

For the second time in three nights, Duncan and the rest of the Spurs' starters spent much of the final quarter relaxing on the bench. Though the Spurs' defensive performance was far from their best, they shot 51.2 percent while taking advantage of Ginobili's and Parker's (14 points) penetration. They also outrebounded Cleveland, the league's No. 1 rebounding team, 45-33.

"I think we might have been a little intimidated," Cavaliers coach Paul Silas said. "At this time of the year, you really have to have been (in a playoff chase) to know about it. Nobody is going to feel sorry for you at this time of the year."

The Cavaliers began the evening a half-game behind Boston for the Eastern Conference's eighth and final playoff seed and were still buzzing about James' 41-point, 13-assist performance on Saturday. The Spurs didn't need to see film of Cleveland's victory over the New Jersey Nets to form their impressions of the 19-year-old man-child. In their own visit to Cleveland last month, they lost 89-87 as James scored 32 points.

By the time James threw down a nifty reverse dunk in Monday's third quarter, he had already missed seven of his first 10 shots. With Bruce Bowen guarding him much of the night, James scored 18 points on 20 shots.

"We did a better job of staying in front of him this time," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.

The Cavaliers couldn't say the same about Ginobili. The Spurs were trailing 17-16 in the first quarter when Ginobili scaled Boozer (6-foot-9) and Ilgauskas (7-3) for his dunk.

"I was a little upset about the first layup I missed, so I wanted to go hard," said Ginobili, who also had eight rebounds. "I probably got a lift from somebody because usually I don't do that."

Ginobili followed the dunk with a 3-pointer. Then another. In the second quarter, he curled off a screen, caught a pass from Hedo Turkoglu and muscled through a foul by Boozer for a layup. The three-point play energized the Spurs, who scored 10 unanswered points.

"Offensively, he's the reason we went into halftime with a 12-point lead," Popovich said.

Ginobili later hung in the air long enough to bank in an 8-foot runner. At the end of the third quarter, he stepped back and swished a 3-pointer, despite getting swatted in the right eye. In the final quarter, he just missed a one-handed put-back dunk.

It was the type of energetic performance Popovich hoped to see when he replaced Ginobili in the starting lineup with Turkoglu two months ago.

"At the beginning I was a little upset, but now I'm fine, I'm happy," Ginobili said of his role change. "I think the team is playing well. I have to accept the change worked out. Hedo is playing great and I'm going back to the way I was playing before.

"So no problems."

Except one. The Spurs still have to figure out a way to get Ginobili in the team picture.

Malik Rose was thoughtful enough to remove a framed picture of the guard from a nearby hallway and include it in the group shot, though Ginobili's likeness will probably be digitized into the photo later.

"I hope they do it well, but if they don't, I deserve it," Ginobili said. "It's not nice to be late." :lol
