I would be very surprised if they didn't. But, big ups to the Hawks for taking it that far.

the hawks taking the celts to game 7 says alot about the team, they thought they were just gonna step in and cruise to the finals, and here are the lowly hawks putting up a fight against a so called elite team. props to the hawks for believing .....hope the celts lose game 7.....

Amuseddaysleeper

definitely.

and to think every hawks game I went to when I lived in Atlanta for 5 years was averaging less people than my high school football games.

If you got to the Hawks game 10 minutes early, they'd let you in for free.

Get there 20 minutes early, they even let you play for the team.

I would hope so, after fucking around and losing every road game to an 8 seed. What I'm seeing so far is that Boston isn't winning anything this year. All they did was add two playoff losers in Garnett and Allen. Vagina had two open looks at three pointers in the last minute. One of them almost missed everything. That denotes a difficult time breathing under pressure.

+1

And a lot of veneer has been chipped from whatever aura Boston accumulated this year.

Now everyone knows they can be taken. Oh, can they be taken.

This is actually good for Boston. I am sure they thought they were going to go through the Hawks in 4 or 5 games. People forget this team is new to the playoffs. Which is why them having homecourt will be great for them.

I think this is team is good, but it is obvious they haven't been there before. Have Paul and Ray and KG ever not been the underdog? Now they have targets somewhat and I think they are starting to realize it is not easy to play as favorites. They will get it done this series. They need to start focusing better to get to the finals.

I think they have played down to their competition. Lets just chalk it up to Detroit mentality. Detroit had similiar problems with Philly.

Completely different. Detroit even when they were losing just weren't trying. There was a night and day when they picked it up.

Boston's trying hard and still spinning their wheels.

I think a few games before they have played down to the comp, but I have to believe they wanted to win this game 6 very badly. I didn't see the game though, so I'm not sure. I would imagine they wanted to get it out of the way already.

Meanwhile the LeBrons are resting happy they will get a tired Celtics team. I still expect the Celtics to beat Cleveland but is going 6 or 7 games.

I agree. But this being their first time feeling playoff pressure is also part of it. They obviously haven't figured out how to knuckle down for the last 5 minutes and close it out. And a lot of that comes from experience, and confidence knowing you've done it before in pressure situations. Boston doesn't have that blanket to wrap them selves under. They're learning, and will probably be better down the stretch from this adversity.

Stern is not letting the Hawks ruin his plans for a Lakers/Celtics Finals. I see alot of calls for Boston on Sunday.

Mavs<Spurs
05-02-2008, 11:26 PM
Can Stern rescue his beloved Celtics?

Can he arbitrarily apply the rules only to the Suns and the Hawks, but not to the Celtics in game 7?

CharlieMac

If anyone on that Celtic's roster reads that they have an average win margin of 22 points at home in this series, they're fucked.

Well...

I was actually worry about the Celtics..but no more.

I was thinking that if the Boston Celtics make it to the finals..which will probably happen and if The Spurs do so as well I'm now confident that the Spurs will take it all.

If the Hawks can give "the best team" on the NBA hell, imagine what proven champs can do!

Oh boy.

Go Hawks..against all odds.

Final Score (After Ray Allen's shot rims out
Hawks 112
Celtics 110

Oh wait, Stern has a new rule that no one heard about yet. Joe Johnson looked menacingly at Garnett and it counts as 5 technical shots, so Celtics squeeze out a win at the line. That'll teach the Hawks to win.
