I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but the past 4 times, since 2003, the Spurs lost game 1 in a series, the Spurs have gone on the win the series.

2003 - Spurs lost game 1 to Phoenix in the first round and lost game 1 to Dallas in the conference finals - Spurs went on to win both series.

2005 - Lost to Denver in game 1 in the first round, Spurs went on to win the series in 5 games.

2007 - Again, lost to Denver in game 1 of the first round, Spurs went on to win the series in 5 games.

Prior to 2003, (if I remember correctly) Spurs were 0-17 in playoff series in which the Spurs lost game 1.

In 2004 and 2006, Spurs won game 1 in the conference semifinals and both times lost the series.

Just a thought...won't matter if the Spurs lose the series against the Hornets.

well, to add some perspective. Spurs dropping a game to a shitty coached Denver team during the playoffs, could potentially invalidate any meaning in the Hornets victory over the Spurs on Saturday, (given Spurs kick their asses tonight of course.)

Losing game 1 was the best thing that could happen to Spurs.

After winning easily vs Phoenix, this is the kick n the ass we needed.

Spurs are pissed off now; Byron Scott, be ready to eat your bling-bling.:toast:flag:
