....4 titles in 9 years. we will always remember, how the spurs against all odds, defeated the league, refs, TV ratings and big markets. They accomplished alot. I am proud of them and all they have managed to do. The Spurs will go down in history as the only small market in the Stern era to win mulitple championships. The hornets will not win the title, cuz the league won't let the NO market even sniff the championship. So to all my follow spurs fans this is the end of the line and I feel good that I have been able to watch such a run and will never forget the good and bad times.

This series isn't over, there was ALOT I saw the spurs improved upon, and had they just switched a defensive assignment or two, this series would be tied up.

A few adjustments made, then its a 2 out of 3 series.

Alos, the influx of Splitter, Mahinmi, draft pick, MLE guy will definately be the shot in the arm, if this team doesn't make it this year, that this team needs.

Newsflash!!! It still is folks!!! Why give up now??? Don't you think some of the Spurs players or personnel read waht is posted here? Give them support. Tell them that you remain faithful. Tell them you never ceased believing.

I used to hate your team since 1999 when you swept us. Even with our rivalry with Sacto since 2001, I still disliked your team and then hated them even more in 2003 and I celebrated in 2004. Since then, your team has owned the LOB in 3 of the last 5. Watching them play. Seeing Duncan's leadership ( Yes I'm a Laker fan that agrees that Duncan>Shaq) My hate turned to admiration. The kind of admiration and respect Co-Champions feel. That is why today, I don't mind the Spurs winning if it ain't a Laker year. I'd rather see Duncan- a Champion, a Gentleman, the perfect Role Model , hoist Larry for a fifth time than witness Chris Paul and his arrogance,or KG,Ray and Pierce spraying champagne and celebrating!!! No way!!!

After all you've been through, might as well continue pushing. As your slogan says....

Think it's more that some face reality better than others. You know, fail to see the handwriting on the wall. Tell me something you have seen after 2 games that makes you believe the Spurs can take 4 from these guys. Spurs look worn out by the time second half rolls around and a couple days of rest isn't going to cure that. About the only thing that could help the Spurs is if they could get on an emotional high right now. And normally emotion isn't what an older team runs on, unlike the younger Hornets who do.

And for those that keep saying the Hornets will fold under pressure, I think they have already proven you wrong. And I too was one of those that thought they would fold up in the playoffs.

So, yeah, it's been a great year Spurs. See you same time, same place next year.

I can't believe you guys! You say on the one hand that the Spurs need to come in and play their guts out on Thursday, but then you say it's done, it's over, it's the end of the line.

Why should they bother to play then? Are they gonna hit the floor at the AT&T Center, look up at dead stands, and see all their so-called fans crying crocodile tears while they bury one of the greatest teams ever - before the game even starts?

The AT&T Center needs to rock louder than it's ever rocked before. The goddamn roof needs to come off! Every inch of the stands should be black-and-silvered out.

If we don't do anything else, we need to back up our Spurs right down to the wire - and we need to stop this incessant drumbeat of OVER...OVER...OVER...

They deserve so much more than they're getting from most of us right now. It's even more embarrassing and humiliating than the actual games have been!

Odd, I keep seeing "quiters" and "cliff jumpers" and all that, but I have yet to see one person point out one thing from games 1 and 2 that would give even a glimpse of hope that the Spurs can beat this team 4 out of 5 games.

Face it, the age factor has caught up with them after 87 games. They have no energy after the first 24 minutes. Even young TP seems to be trying to rest as he brings the ball down the court in the second half.

I'm not saying it is impossible. All things are possible. But PROBABLE? I don't think so. There is a reason why when you go down 2-0, you only have a 6% chance of coming back and winning a series. Numbers just don't lie. Well, unless Enron is cooking them.

I love how ppl bring up the % chance of winning. But forget the facts that the game has changed since 30 years ago. These are the spurs, not some 8th seed. AND if you look at the % in the last 5 years, I'd say its closer to 25% a very PROBABLE chance :rolleyes

The 3 teams with the most wins over the last 5-6 years all getting old and getting worse at the same time.

Spurs
Mavs
Suns

The first day of the season everyone had those 3 teams as the top 3 teams in the league and now we know that all 3 have gotten older, slower and less competitive in the matter of 1 year.

If any of these 3 teams hope to compete for a title next year they all better get younger, more athletic, quicker/faster. Other wise it will be 50 wins and early playoff exits from now on.

The Suns have been the most disappointing team durning this 5-6 year run. They made alot of mental mistakes in playoffs. I would have never imagine they would not have won atleast one championship with that team 5 years ago. They had Joe Johnson at one time too.

All the poster you were replying to was saying was that if the Spurs tie up the series, then it becomes best two of three and the Spurs need to defend their (one) home court game and win one out of two potential games in NO. He or she wasn't saying HCA would somehow switch to SA.

Yes, I honestly believe the Spurs can win the next four out of five, with the right defensive adjustments, but I doubt even those of us who think that think it will be easy. I have a lot of respect for this Hornets team and they have a great chance at putting this series away, but they have to actually do it.
