My guess is Rasho is out for a couple weeks, at least, probably putting him on IR for 5 games. I think it's time to give Sean Marks a chance, that's why the Spurs have been keeping him around.

We could also fill in a spot....

Stop waiting for Malone, or get Malone, and play Tim as Center.

There's choices, but it could affect our gameplay.

Malone might join now that he sees the Spurs as the only clear choice for a championship....which isnt that cool.

How long is Horry supposed to be out?

As a physician (although not an orthopedist) it is highly doubtful we will see Rasho soon - best case probably 10 d to 14 day but it could be longer. If is truly a grade 2 sprain we could be looking at variable time back similar to Kobe's type of situation.

Horry more of an enigma, news was that not that serious and he was even out hanging net etc. As Pop did not already deactivate him probably will be back but tough to tell for this road trip.

No worries, chance for Duncan and Rose to come out funks while Manu and Parker take turns with big games (Duncan impressive tonight especially down the stretch!)

Bring up Marks!

According to the Express-News, it's 1-3 weeks:

The Spurs extended their lead over Phoenix to 1 1/2 games, though their celebration was tempered by news they will be without Nesterovic for one to three weeks after he suffered a second-degree sprain of his left ankle.

What happened to Rasho? I can't find anywhere?

He sprained his ankle very badly. He screamed very loudly when it happened. He was helped off the floor and then taken in a wheelchair for x-rays (but they were negative). I'm sure that he's going to have an MRI tomorrow to check for ligament damage. The article in the Express-News says that he's expected to miss significant time.

After tossing in a short hook less than three minutes into the second quarter, Nesterovic landed hard on Marion's foot.

Spurs trainer Will Sevening and center Sean Marks had to help him to the locker room, where he was placed in a wheelchair and rolled to the X-ray room. X-rays were negative, but Nesterovic still will likely miss significant time.

Give the Kiwi a shot.I agree. Put Rasho on IR for 5 games or as long as it take to get him healthy. Activate Marks.

I'll give Rasho this: he's been very durable. He hasn't suffered from nagging injuries and he's been on the court just about every night.

Hopefully he'll heal and it won't become a lingering problem for the rest of the year.

On the bright side, if the Spurs do well over the next few weeks, 'Sho wouldn't have to chance coming back too soon. Rasho would have the All-Star break to make sure he's ready to go back to the lineup.

The Spurs D is gonna struggle.

Especially against Sacramento.

Brad Miller is gonna be a bitch to guard.

Hopefully Horry will be ready.

Can Marks be trusted???

yeah how good is Marks? I have never seen him play. Would it be worth playing him? would he help us?

Horry can't carry the bulk of Rasho's minutes, and I worry that TMass (who had an oppportunity last night but didn't contribute) is pretty useless, and neutralizes his meager contributions by excessive foulings. So I'd to see Sean get the call a primary big alongside Tim, maybe 24 minutes, will Malik and Robert helping out.

Or, rather two bigs, maybe Pop will go Nellie small-ball, now that he has seen that it can work? In the games thru end of Feb, how teams have effective, game-changing bigs (significantly scoring/rebounding big) that Rasho would be matching up with to keep the game/win under control?

If Rasho is really bad, why wouldn't he NOT go on IR and why not activate Sean?
