View Full Version : People of San Antonio.... make home court count!

hsxvvd

As an Australian Spurs fan, I am physically unable to attend the game. But I'd like to make a plea to all local fans to make HOME COURT count games 3 & 4.

I've heard before that the people of San Antonio don't generally get excited until the Western Finals, but you guys need to step up now. Be loud, be noticed. Make the whorenuts uncomfortable.

Black out the AT&T, stalk the motel of the Hornets and harrass the shit out of them. If the Hornets get on a run, rip your damn clothes off and run onto the court and spill your drink.

We need both these games, and YOU can make a difference.:flag:

The fans were great during the first two games of round 1! (I wasn't at the others so I can only talk about those).

We need a repeat performance from the crowd at the AT&T, so Spurs fans

The Spurs public relations or whatever department it is needs to get a sponsor to provide 17000 black t-shirts. Hand out some noise makers and get that party started right!!!! Better yet, hand out some empty cans of Raid Hornet/Wasp killer.

I hope Spurs fans can be bothered to give some passionate support to their team. It was easy for the casual fan to do that against Phoenix because so many have been programmed to hate Shaq or Amare or Nash or D'Antoni. Not the same animal with the Hornets -- at least not yet. I could certainly go for a little HemisFair-like nastiness from Spurs fans, but this is the same bunch that sat through Game 6 of the 2005 Finals (a potential title clincher) like a church service!!

If you go: be loud!

This is why I wanted to start this thread. This is the biggest game we've played since #7, 2006 Mavs.

So many of us will be screaming at the TV all around the world.

I'm a school teacher, I'll be listening to KTJK on-line and have the Yahoo gameboard on the Electronic Whiteboard. I'll tell my class it's free time if the Spurs win, Test if the Hornets win!:flag::flag::flag:

Forget it. SA home games are not as thriving as other venues. They are quiet, probably used to winning all the time I don't know.

Going to be sad turning on the TV tonight to see a 3/4 full arena with a medium noise level.

I have to admit after watching this team take it somewhat easy in the reg. season it does not get me as excited. I have seen them through many successes. It always alot more interesting when a challenge is posed. And being down 0-2 got me interested.

Serious question for Hornets fans – what was the attendance like prior to Katrina? I know that there was some concern that attendance might be low, after the team officially returned to NOLA, because disposable income was still in question, but was the fan base pretty decent for the years prior?
