Is the most overrated movie I've seen in a long ass time. I'm so glad I didn't go see this at the movies, because I would have felt robbed. At least when I take my rental back today, Hollywood Video will give me a dollar back.

God, it was AVERAGE at BEST. There was NOTHING remarkable about this movie. The soundtrack was made up of great songs, but it was almost made the central focus of the movie.

I wish someone had told me to save my money instead of telling me this movie was great.

it was easily the dumbest, weirdest movie Ive ever seen.

SOME funny moments, other than that, a very morose, boring, and stupid movie.

That's not fair Scott. I can't help it if tweedle dumbest gets one right every now and then. That shouldn't be held against me.

Damn it.

This was my second favorite movie of the year, behind Eternal Sunshine.

I didn't see anything original about the movie - it's trying to be Wes Anderson with its (far too prevalent) soundtrack and "quirky" characters while incorporating cliche youthful elements like the cathartic screaming moment near the end.

Very, very overrated. It could have used some more quiet moments instead of filling all the gaps in dialogue with the soundtrack volume up too loud. The movie could have also used some scoring instead of all the songs with vocals - and is it just me, or did it feel sometimes like a commercial for the Shins? I like the Shins, but in advertising their music so blatantly you're undermining other elements of the film, and you're also dating it.

If you thought it was cliche, then it definitely suceeded in trying to be a Wes Anderson flick.

I like Wes Anderson movies, but I thought the characters in Garden State had much more depth than any character Anderson has ever created.
