View Full Version : Unless Kobe's faking us out his back is really bothering him...

He's showing all the signs of a lower back strain and those can last for weeks...This could get interesting...

Utah is such a physical team. hes starting to show signs of the physcial beating hes getting from this team. imagine if it goes 7 games. soften him up for the spurs

This isn't a bruise, it's a strain...I've had enough to know the signs...when he was laying on his back and couldn't get up without rolling over on his stomach and (carefully) getting to his hands and knees to stand up that was a classic sign. Those things can take weeks to get over when you're NOT trying to play basketball.

Without Kobe playing Utah will take this series in 6.

LOL...thats the Spurs job. I am confident they are gonna take care of business. I'm just watching and commenting on the playoff picture.

Kobe looks like he's actually hurt. But if you remember his history from 2000-2004, he loves having "injuries" to come back from, too.

This is the playoffs goober.

Theres 4 teams left in the West. It's Spurs related.

The topic title was clear. If you don't want to read it don't open it.

I read the title

It still doesn't belong here dumbfuck

Why do you think the Jazz-Lakers thread is in the NBA forum, even if it's " West related "

Maybe you should go apply for a mod job at Spursreport.

When it gets to the semifinals everything that happens in the west is Spurs related, especially if it's a potential injury (reported in real time) that is observed on a game changer like Kobe Bryant.

Lakers?

The best 2 teams in the NBA are playing in San Antonio Tonight.

Watching the Jizz and the Lickers play is like watching basketball in slow motion. Kobe is probably just making some pre-excuses for either not beating Utah, or getting swept in the WCF.

I hope we get out of this round....

Way too premature to be talking about facing the Lakers. Hornets have a great chance of taking this series still, They were right there in Game 3. They are still up 2-1 last time I checked. And they still have HCA. Oh and they still have CP3 who the Spurs cannot guard.

It's gonna be a 3 game series after tonight and Spurs have more options than the Hornets. A player that "can't be stopped" is normal in the playoffs.

IF we get past the Whorenuts, I'd have to say I prefer the Jazz simply for Home Court, but I'd love to be the ones who eliminate the Fakers.

Kobe has 3 days of rest until the next game. He'll be fine.

People here are just commenting on how he looked, aka hurt. You are jumpy for a guy that believes Kobe is going to be just fine :lol

If he is genuinely hurt, next game will show.

Outside of Farmar everyone on the bench has played pretty well.

This entire series for UTAH comes down to two things:

1.) How well they can shoot their midrange/3pt shots
2.) How physical they can play

Nearly all lumbar back pains (muscle cramps) go away in 10 - 14 days max, whether $treated or not.

... unless you're playing NBA playoffs. :)

I've never heard this about Kobe. Like Tim getting sick to start the 2nd round, really tough luck for Kobe (and good luck for Jazz.

With his inability to get up from supine, I'm amazed he can still play.
