Hornets got lucky playing against a sick Tim Duncan.

Hornets fans, with all due respect, but you your team is new to the playoffs, so I'll inform you what this is...a statement game. And Duncan is near or at full strength again.

This should of been a sweep. Spurs played the opposite of game 3 and 4. Shooting jumpers, panicking, getting drunk at halftime, etc.

Now Spurs will end this in 6. Kobe/Deron, you're next.

:toast

I predicted a 5-game series. Didn't factor in Tim being sick first 2 games.

The Hornets just need to protect home court. The Spurs are the ones that need to win on the road to take this series. The real work for SAS is on the road, not at the AT&T Center.

*sigh* why are celtic fans and spur hating trolls all yelling about protecting home court like a home game is a gauranteed win?

They're kids with no playoff experience. Game 5 against a championship team is the very definition of pressure and intensity, and they have no idea what they're in for.

The Hornets are a hell of a team, and they're going to be even harder to play in a couple of years when they have experience, but barring another visit from the flu, there's no way the Spurs lose another game in this series.

Wishful thinking. You wishing you'll get past the Jazz and have the Hornets to play instead of the Spurs:flag:

These trolls must mistake the Spurs with the Hawks. Spurs don't give a shit about what court they play on. Fans don't affect a 4-time championship team. I actually think Bowen likes the boos. God knows he's heard enough of it to get used to it.

Someone better tell Tim not to eat any of the food in NO at all. They will likely try to poison him to get him sick again. Amy needs to pack him a lunch and dinner and put it in a big cooler. :hat

Dude...you better worry about the Jazz...if they steal Game 5, you're done.

Hah, that's what I just put into another post... unless his New Orleans room service serves him contaminated food, the Hornets are going to find that game 5 will be even less of a picnic than games 3 and 4. Timmy is "back," and I think he's even a little mad about the first two games. The hard part for the Hornets, of course, is that when a guy like Duncan gets "mad," he doesn't just pour it on offensively, he steps up his game defensively.

Let's look for another big game for Timmy in game 5; and even if he doesn't quite go 30/20, he'll be dominating in all the other ways he does for the Spurs...

I partially agree with you, homer glass aside. But fact that the Spurs have been pretty successful in the past in getting the job done on the road -with a HEALTHY Tim Duncan to boot- can't be overlooked, even for average Spurs hater like you. :blah

What is NO going to do against Duncan now that he's healthy? Double-team him? Whoops, give up penetration and open 3's.

Single-cover him? Not happening.

Tim Duncan & Tony Parker are the hardest - THE HARDEST combo in the NBA to guard. No one is as fast as Parker is at getting to the hoop, and no one commands the paint like Duncan.

You HAVE to double Duncan to slow him down when he starts playing like this. And what happens when you double him?

The Spurs destroy you.

How the HELL are the Corn Nuts going to slow Duncan down if he plays like he did tonight? They have absolutely no answer for him.

Neither does any other forward/center in the league.

Where Duncan walks, the NBA trembles.

The Hornets problem is now two-fold. They are getting schooled offensively and defensively.

Byron Scott is going to have to earn his coach of the year award in Game 5 if NOH is going to stand a chance.

+1

And I honestly think he is out of playing cards.... If he had anything left it was to have Peja drive the lane against Bowen tonight.... and that didnt work for shit.

Ha, just like the Lakers, eh? Not to be rude, but that shit is obvious, especially after the epic Hawks-Celtics series. Fuck, that's all that Boston can do lately, since they suck balls on the road.

And the Lakers better take care of home court too. Can't they win with a hurt Kobe at the very least? Even PHIL JACKSON thought everyone but Kobe played like ass. They can't always rely on him to carry them through. Hell, we've been winning with Manu having two injuries almost the whole postseason, and Duncan with the flu for three straight games, and the only time they've lost is when Manu and Tim were both injured at the same time.
But you've got Gasol AND Odom. One of them should be able to step up, like Manu or Tony when their main player is down. You're seriously going to go six rounds with the freaking Jazz!?!

It's funny how the Jazz were predicted by damn near everyone to go five max, but they've been wrong about everything lately. First the Suns in 6/7, the Pistons/Boston would sweep, Mavs experience would trump NO, Spurs exp would trump NO(I know it has now, but no one expected 2 blowout losses), they can't get anything straight. I just hope they're ultimately right about the Spurs beating NO, and then wrong about th Lakers representing the West.

Debbie Downer. I hope you are as critical on your own team.
