I'm not even going to start about the "Duncan is sick" crap. Hopefully expecting a win is a-ok to me.. But expecting the Spurs to roll over and die? Please. Be logical.

Oh, and that was not only a travel, but a blatant push off on TP. It happens.

Chris Paul should get an offensive foul on every drive he makes. That alone gives the Hornets the benefit of the calls in every game. I could play in the NBA if you let me push off all the time.

Shaolin-Style
05-11-2008, 09:24 PM
I wish we could afford to pay the refs well enough to call the average 4 step moves Chris Paul uses by the basket all with the dubious push offs. Guess we'll have to settle for Tim actually getting fouls called for him when hes actually fouled, go figure.

These hornets fans hit it right on the head. The Spurs are aging, and can't keep up with them anymore.

Heck, the Spurs probably heard them and only played their starters for 3 quarters! This is a sign of the Spurs getting old my friends.

Until either team wins on the road I don't think any fan should be talking shit.

I was being sarcastic.. The Spurs only had to play their starters for 3 quarters because of the drubbing..

Add that to the fact that everyone keeps saying the Spurs are old, and...

Or were you being sarcastic as well? :/

No one is talking shit. I was just pointing out to hornet's fans that they shouldn't have written off the Spurs so quickly. Let's assume for the sake of argument the hornets go on to win in 6; then their initial predictions of "SWEEP OMG LOL" or "okay, so you take one game, hornets in 5 lulz" would not have held up. THEY (well, not all of them) were the ones talking shit :/

Some of our fans get a little giddy after a win like this. And this series is far from over. But having said that I believe the Spurs are in a very good position. As a Laker fan you must know what it takes to get to the Finals and win it. The Hornets haven't really experienced the pressure of the playoffs yet. Now they are getting their introduction. All teams have to go through this. Some get there sooner but they have to get there. How will the Hornets handle this type of pressure? Don't know but I do know the Spurs aren't the Mavs and they will continue to keep the pressure on.

I've been preaching this for days - pressure - pressure - pressure. The Hornets big test comes next game. We'll see what they are made of. We already know what the Spurs are made of.

It's the proverbial rubber and the road scenario.

I knew that wasn't going to happen. Lakers beat a mediocre Nugget team and hold serve at home against the Jazz and suddenly they are unbeatable. Jazz are awesome at home, not shocked at all they tied it up.

Hornets must be worried.

They know that they don't want to come back to San Antonio down 3-2 after this blowout.

Hornets are much better at home, but Tim being healthy is a bigger difference.

Tim getting 5 pts 3 rebs and you didn't think that it had anything to do with 103 fever?

This is Tim Duncan.

Are you ignorant?

Jazz are not good enough on the road to beat the Lakers, even with a hurt Kobe Bryant.

Lakers need him healthy to win it all.

Celtics are amazingly bad on the road.

The Cavs are too.

When Kobe is healthy, the Lakers can win on the road.

Pistons can win on the road.

If we can win game 5, then I say we have as good a shot as any of the other 3 top tier teams at winning it all (Lakers, Celtics, Pistons - not in any order).

Right now, with Kobe's injury, Pistons ability to win on the road and Celtics mediocre performance (and really bad on the road), got to believe that the Pistons are the team to beat in the East.

Piistons > Celtics

Hornets fans may not want to believe it, but they got off easy in those first two games facing a sick Tim Duncan.

The weird thing is, when Tim is healthy, he's still sick, but in a good way. :)

Hornets made the same mistake the Cavs fans did by judging the Spurs over regular season victories think the Spurs were too old and would just roll over and go home quietly. Now you know, run and tell everyone "THE SPURS ARE COMING, THE SPURS ARE COMING!!!!".
