1 is bogus......more like the refs didnt bail out paul and west as they have throughout the playoffs thus far. the refs actually let them play.....paul and west arent used to having to play without getting help from the refs....and so they got frustrated.

TP outplayed Chris Paul.

West is like Amare.....very nice skill set, but easy to bait into frustration and anger.....West is a hothead and that is a bad thing for the Hornets.

Chandler commits too many stupid fouls.

the Hornets bench is MIA.

Bowen is the Soup Nazi.........hey Peja, NO SOUP FOR YOU.

Duncan is no longer suffering from the flu, high fever, and migraines, like he was in the first 2 games.

Pop > Scott

I called Spurs in 6 and I am sticking with it......GO SPURS GO

The Spurs won game 4 because they straight outplayed the Hornets. Pop made the necessary adjustments while Byron Scott did not. Even he said they Spurs intensity has gone up while his players' intensity has gone down.

Blame the refs all you want, as many have and will continue to do. But the fact remains that the Spurs, with a now healthy Tim Duncan are outplaying the Hornets at every angle. They're playing Spurs basketball, plain and simple.

The way I see it, the Spurs have the Hornets figured out. The Hornets don't know what to do and their inexperience is showing.

The Hornets better figure out what to do or this series is ending at game 6 with the Spurs advancing and the Hornets going home with their stingers tucked between their legs.

Dude Tony got in the lane plenty tonight, got hit and did not get a call. Big difference's are Tony has gotten into the series and playing like Tony usually does and you are not playing against Tim Duncan with a 103 degree fever anymore. Oh yeah and Peja can't score on Bowen to save his life.

Well we could blame it on BS, or state the obvious. Which is we were out played in this game. Our defense could not stop Parker at all, all their players did their roles and held together. We fell apart and missed so many shots, got little off the bench and just didn't seem to have any heart at the end.

We can't blame it on home court advantage, because when they were up, you could here crickets. Sad when the only noise come from plastic clappers. We just have to hold the arena. Stay loud, booooo them and woooo them. We could lose every game in San Antonio as long as we hold the Hive.

The Spurs flat out outplayed the Hornets for the 1st time in this series. I felt in Game 3 the Hornets did a better job of competing and lost composure at the end, which is typical of young teams on the road. Game 4 was a whole other story, Spurs dominated from start to finish.

That was an ass-whooping as good as any of the ones the Hornets gave the Spurs this season. Scott is going to have to make some major adjustments on defense to stop the Big 3 if the Hornets are going to win this series.

Deuces88
05-11-2008, 10:45 PM
This shows a big difference between Pop and D'Antoni. D'Antoni is winning big, plays Amare and Diaw up to almost the last minute and gets ejected.

Pop, on the other hand takes out Duncan and Parker near the end of the 3rd and gives them a newspaper to read to pass the time.

Typical lame homer excuse.

Do you know anything about basketball? The NBA?

There was nothing wrong with how the game was called.

Even if it had favored one team, it would not have made a difference in a 20-point-plus blowout.

And if you want to claim certain plays, just roll the tape on Chandler's moving screens on Parker... ALL NIGHT. Not to mention West clipping Bowen with a hip on another screen. These were obvious offensive fouls that the refs are just plain not calling so that Paul can be the budding all-star baby Jesus.

Chris Paul was allowed like 6 or 7 uncalled charges. He was basically taking free arm swings at Spurs while he was driving. I'm not talking a little off arm extension. It was gross offensive fouling of the highest degree. I agree with 2-6, though. Part of knocking a team out of the playoffs, however, IS to destroy their will to compete. For the first time in the 2008 playoffs, the Hornets have pressure on them to win a game. They REALLY don't want to drop game 5. REALLY. West is already looking like he's having trouble breathing.

Dude, in the first quarter all you could hear was those plastic clappers. I have never heard such a lethargic crowd, now I know why you all hate our "booos" and "wooos", because your crowds don't get loud like that. There were a few peaks, but the crowd just didn't contribute any advantage.

Our team can't say it was a hostile enviroment.

- still think signing threads is weird, but every forum has that one guy who does it; just to cause other posters to notice him.

Was at the game Nola Zach.

Forget the clappers. The arena was loud period.

TV turns down crowd noise so you don't hear it as much.

"Yes Matilda there are microphones located along press row, on the stantions and goomed in other areas."

What your team wasn't expecting was a team that was determined to hold home court advantage.

I think we have all been trying to tell you Hornets fans that reular season is regular season but the playoffs are totally different.

The Spurs were down 0-2 and now have put the pressure right back on the Hornets.

13 teams have come back from 0-2 deficits to win the series.

What you saw in games 1 and 2 are now history.

Tuesday night is going to be a mad house and I'm quite confident that if the Spurs stick to their game plan of now, you guys are going to be in a world of trouble.

You have no answers for Manu as a starter and CP couldn't defend my computer keyboard right now.

If the Spurs quiet your team in the first half, they will step on your throat in the third quarter.

They did it tonight. 30-19.

If Pop really wanted to send a message he could have left Manu and Tony in the fourth for five minutes and that would have given them 120 easy.

Good luck now trying to stop a runaway train.

You wanted to beat the champs.

Now let's see if the Hornets have the balls to return the favor on Tuesday and force the Spurs to win at home or will the Spurs do something only Detoit did and that was win on the road.

Hornets lost because Tim Duncan and Tony Parker rammed the ball down their collective throats.

And if you want this series to be called more accurately, then your precious golden boy will foul out every freakin' game. I love Chris Paul, but got damn he needs to stop using his off arm. I never bitch about the refs, but if they watch the push off at all, CP3 is toast.

Both the Spurs and Hornets did what they needed to do.

Now the series really begins. If the Hornets win Game 5 they lob the pressure right back to SAS to win Game 6 and if it goes to a Game 7 it's anyone's guess who wins.

I would just be happy if they called the moving picks that Chandler and West set every time down the GD floor.

I'd be happy if they call the push off move Paul does with the off arm.

And for how West clears out on the rebounds.

I would have loved if they had called CP shoving TP and travelling instead of getting the and 1.

Hopefully this win will put the Dallas comparisons to rest...
That said, we won because we adjusted after being outplayed in the first two games. Now is Scott's turn to adjust to our adjustments... We'll see what he has in store for Tuesday.

What adjustments can Scott make?

Like I've said I don't see many.

Other than running Peja off some picks and getting him open shots that way, there isn't much.

The personnel doesn't yield itself to much IMO.

Im sure TIMVP, FWD, Chump and others will point out some other things.

Yeah West does that regularly and is annoying.

Chris Paul and the off arm? It aint gonna be called, cause hes a superstar. That simple.

I would still live with the illegal screens that Chandler and West do getting called.

what i noticed about the spurs fans is that they like to talk shit even when they're down 2-0... i wouldnt expect anything less from you guys now. my son is a Spurs fan.. i grounded him after the game for no reason.

Stupid father. Intelligent son. You should be proud your son is not like you... :lol :lol :lol :lol

Reason # 6 for why your bitches got owned...the Spurs pulled your heads off and pissed in your dead skulls.

P.S. I wish the officials would take a look at the little traveling, arm-swinging, little punk you call a PG...Paul. Most times he penetrates into the lane, he either travels, or commits an offensive foul.

One adjustment he HAS to make if they are to have a chance is he has to find a third scorer. He has got to find a way to get Peja involved somehow. Easier said than done, but to this point that has been one of the glaring differences has been his stats from games 1-2 verses 3-4.

Pop just gave Scott a taste of his own medicine. He subtracted Peja from the mix, and then decided that he would live with whatever 2 point jumpers Chris Paul could put up. When they're running that center pick and roll, Spurs are not allowing the kick out or the lob. Both players are collapsing on Chandler, and offering the jumper to Paul. The Hornets tried some new wrinkles to free Paul for closer shots in the second half, but nothing that really worked.

I knew sooner or later Paul would become mortal again.
I think Mark Cuban is saying a big thank you to the basketball gods today. If NO's had done the same thing to SA that they did to Dallas in beating us in 5, all of the sudden that Avery firing looks kinda iffy.

Don't be so quick to assume that just because the Hornets are at home they will win.

I see a team that is on the brink of folding. If the spurs can stay close they can steal a win from a team that is beginning to doubt itself and end this series in 6.

1. Ref's were on Spurs nuts
2. Players gave up
3. Coach gave up
4. They got too emotional
5. Away from home

that being said I cannot wait until Game 5 ... when the "defending champs" get owned by n00bz

you lost me at #1...

The crowd noise level is low and weak in San Antonio. At least on TV it sounds that way.

Nothing like the old days in the Hemisphere Arena.

i don't do it for attention, just out of habit and to piss off idiots who care about such things on a internet forum.

also, i suggest you speak to spurschick, who was actually AT THE GAME, before you make assumptions about the crowd via what you heard on TV.

The real 5 reasons you lost

1. Bowen on Peja
2. Pop >>> Scott
3. Duncan
4. Parker
5. Manu

And the most important reason you lost

Spurs >>> Hornets

The Spurs flat out outplayed the Hornets for the 1st time in this series. I felt in Game 3 the Hornets did a better job of competing and lost composure at the end, which is typical of young teams on the road. Game 4 was a whole other story, Spurs dominated from start to finish.

That was an ass-whooping as good as any of the ones the Hornets gave the Spurs this season. Scott is going to have to make some major adjustments on defense to stop the Big 3 if the Hornets are going to win this series.

What a lucid, astute post. I couldn't agree more.
