I had to go with "Still of The Night", but I dig "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love?".

Where is "the ringing pain from a knife to the ear" option?

Still of the Night has a great bridge/guitar solo. Same goes for Crying in the Rain.

As with the Bon Jovi thread, I'd have to say that Whitesnake has always sucked, but that "Here I Go Again" will forever live on in 80's-tastic awesomeness.

I have always liked rockin guitars. It is the Heavy Metal nerd in me.
I never spent money on "big hair" bands though. bleah. What a bunch of wankers.
Give me a good Queen or Led Zep song anyday over anything Whitesnake ever did.
Hell, Death Klok (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dethklok)is better if one wants brutal metal.

Not a big fan of much that they've done, including the pre-80's hairband days, but "Still of the Night" is great. And I do like Coverdale's vocals in Deep Purple and Coverdale/Page... just not a fan of the Whitesnake stuff.

Thin Lizzy's last album "Thunder & Lightning" wouldn't have been as brilliant as it was without his addition.

If we're making comparisons to Bon Jovi, Coverdale just SMOKES his ass on vocals. Pretty good guitar work in WS, too. One of the more talented "hair bands", but a hair band, nonetheless. On the rock band scale, I'd give them a 6 of 10. They really merited a 5, but Coverdale got bonus points for bagging Tawny Kitaen, the video babe of the 80s.

It's right next to the "I don't like Whitesnake so I'll just avoid that thread" option, which you also obviously missed.

I give them a 3 because you can't dance to them.

I have nothing against hair metal itself.
I love great hair metal, and don't much care for crappy hair metal.
I guess you can insert pretty much any style of music in the above sentence.
