New York Times:
"Dwight Manley, the agent for Karl Malone, said Malone had not decided if he wanted to play basketball again, let alone for San Antonio or Miami. 'It's not looking promising,' Manley said. 'Hopefully, in a week we'll have more clarity.'"

Is this guy ever going to figure out whether or not he wants to play?

This guy should retire.

He's just bummed out that he never won an NBA title, and I would feel the same if I was in the league for 20 years.....

Good.

Go away, Karl.

I dont know why nobody would want to see him in SA. I hated the guy his whole career, but if he put on a Spurs uni, I would change my tune. I dont know why you are all so against having him come to SA. He would definatly help an already slim front line.

I think its dumb just to choose SA or Miami just because those teams could win it all. It doesnt seem right, i dunno.

I don't think he's retiring, he's playing hard to get and it's pissing me off.

He needs to make up his fucking mind.

Just retire already!

I still think he would really help us. Just imagine a team having to deal w/ TD, then when he goes to the bench to rest they have to contend w/ Malone. We are already pretty deep. Adding Malone would just make us that "more deeper." Plus, come playoff time, Malone would give us another big body (a very tough one at that) for D and rebounds.

Exactly. But I expect him to make his decision during (or just after) the All Star break.

Some of you don't seem to realize what this team could accomplish with Malone at Center. Spurs would be a lock for the Championship if they could stay healthy. I would bet my house on it.

I'm sorry to say it because I had high hopes for him but Rasho just isn't getting it done at starting center. Sure, he has his moments. But they're few and far between. Malone has twice the passion for the game even at 41(?) Besides, as most of you have said, Rasho seems to play better coming off the bench. Sign Malone, start him at Center, and let Rasho be the man off the bench. Yes, Malone used to piss me off when he would manhandle Robinson. But that was then and this is now. I'll always love Robinson and what he meant to this team but you only have so many chances to win a Championship. Malone would no doubt make this team better.

I predict he will still be "contemplating retirement" in January 2006.

im praying he doesnt join us. look what happened last year to the kings when they got webber back. they had a VERY good record and he ruined it because he joined so late. plus "snarl" malone is a dirty player and we are not.

Spare me the candy-ass "we are not dirty" crap. You sound like the worlds biggest pussy to me. I'll bet you get out of the shower just to piss in the toilet don't you?

If getting a "dirty" player is what it takes to win a Championship then I'm all for it.

Fair enough. But seriously dude. Duncan isn't getting any younger and the window of opportunity will be closing sooner than you think. Would you rather the Spurs come out with a squeaky-clean reputation when all is said and done? Or would you rather win some more Championships?

i would rather win more championships but i just dont want us to turn into the lakers that we all hated. They were stuck up and just made them look like idiots. But i am craving another ring for them dont get me wrong. I just don't know if Malone would be best for them. He might be but we will have to find out.

Malone still had that fire in his eyes last year. That's something you can't say about Rasho this year. Dude plays like he's working for minimum wage or something.

Not sure what Malone's averages were off the bench last year but they have to be close-to or better than what Rasho is averaging as a starter this year.

Right, but since Rashos on the injured list and Marks is activated, then Marks will ruin our record because he joined so late. Besides Malone wouldnt be a 30-40 minutes a night guy like Webber. Malone would play (most likely) minimal minutes (10-15). I would take Malone, as long as hes healthy and can play w/ the intensity he played with last year. Dont you want our team to be better?

Dre_7

Also, I think Malone would be worth the wait if we got him. I would NOT want to see him in Miami with Shaq!

Malone wasnt the reason the Lakers were the way they were. It was Kobe, and his beef with Phil and Shaq that made the "Lakers we all hated." If they had not signed Malone they still woulda had those problems.

Too bad he was starting Brewski.

But dont let facts get in the way of your typical anti Rasho anti Parker stupidity.

And what were his averages dumbass? That's my major beef. I'll bet ANYTHING that they were better than what RASHO NESUCKOVICH is averaging this year.

Malone Is Closer to Retiring
Mike Bresnahan

Karl Malone will decide on his future in the next week or two and is moving closer to retirement, his agent, Dwight Manley, said Monday.

Malone, the second-leading scorer in NBA history, might come back to play for the San Antonio Spurs, although he doesn't appear to be leaning that way.

"Probably toward retirement, just because that's what he is right now, theoretically," Manley said. "Things usually go the direction of where you're at."

Malone will not play for the Lakers, although he has been offered a front-office job by owner Jerry Buss if he chooses to retire.

Malone is physically in great shape, Manley said, and has been at home in Newport Beach since returning from a recent trip to Mexico. A decision is forthcoming, to "get this thing figured out one way or the other," Manley said.

Malone, 41, averaged 13.2 points and 8.7 rebounds last season with the Lakers. He has 36,928 points in his career, 1,459 fewer than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Hunting season is strictly prohibited for those that wear a ring on their left 'ring' finger. What ring you ask???? Well it's definitely not a championship ring.... :lol :lol

Just an FYI. I've also heard that a fair ammount of piss in the shower water will kill atheletes foot in its beggining stages. Not sure if that's true or not though. Might have to do some research on that one.
