Last Year they won 13 strait and 17 starit games, this year the best they have done is 8, that is unlike the Spurs by this time of year, I hope we have gotten something going here.

I would rather they play like this year. Last year, they won 13 and 17 straight, but on the flipside, would also lose 4 straight or 3 of 4 games...they were not consistent. In the playoffs, you need consistent play. I would rather they win 7.5 of 10 all year long....if you do that in playoffs, you win. Last year, they won so many straight in playoffs, then went on that 4 loss streak that they were prone to do, and they were eliminated.

I hope this started a nice win streak.

If Beno + Barry + Manu + Tony play well, or only 2 of them, we will win.

These are all players that bring energy to the team.

If Manu continues to have games like Friday, then we should be fine.
Duncan just needs to step up and rebound and block shots .

I don't care who scores the points, its a team game. As long as Duncan gets a lot of blocks, then that's a plus.

Parker and Ginobili should continue being big threats to other teams , especially with their penetrating skills.

Damn, anyone notice that the Spurs have 2 of the best driving guards??

TP is a hell of a driving guard for his height.

Even the 03 champs started their rodeo road trip with a loss. With the rodeo road trip starting next week (@SEA!), the Spurs will have to be extremely consistent to maintain a win streak. Some tough games in there:

Jan
Sun 23 @ Sacramento << break SAC's streak
Mon 24 @ Portland
Thu 27 Sacramento << Spurs sweep SAC 4-0
Sat 29 New Orleans
Mon 31 @ Seattle <<

Feb
Thu 3 @ L.A. Lakers
Tue 8 @ Charlotte

... a 10-game streak possible to this point

Wed 9 @ Washington << won @Pacers last night
Fri 11 @ New Jersey
Sun 13 @ Miami <<
Wed 16 @ New Orleans
Wed 23 Houston <<
Sat 26 Memphis <<
Mon 28 @ Cleveland << very tough @CLE, see Spurs@Cavs last season.

Actually, they've got 3 of the best, Barry can drive and kick with the best of them, he's just not doing it on this team.

Sac beat them on Jan 2nd so they can't sweep.

As for the Spurs putting up a winning streak, it's tough to say if they will. They should have one, but sometimes they get complacent and don't show up.

Well in that case, we have 4.

Beno is good at driving and kicking...

I think Brown is pretty good at driving himself. I don't remember any four game loosing streaks last year though.

If Brent keeps shooting the way he has recently, the winning streak will come.

I've been waiting for a streak, that's gonna define us as the champions

"for a streak, that's gonna define us as the champions"

last season, then, you couldn't have wished for a better streak than the Spurs had, until ... we went fishin.

The only winning that defines a championship, and it doesn't have to be a streak, is winnig 4/7 of the Championship series. everything else is meaningless.

I hope we go on a win streak right now. continue with the four weve won and then build on it to 15 or so and win ALL the rodeo road games. I would be fine with a one to two game winning streak or even a loss going into the playoffs;just not a big streak cuz when you lose, you lose more momentum than you normally would.

The only streak that does that is 16/whatever after the regular season.

Streaks don't matter at all.

No, I want a streak that will put us at the top of the power rankings on ESPN, SI, and NBA.com for a long time.

I want a streak that will get us a third NBA Title.
