ok guys before this series started I predicted that the home team would win every game before game 7. all the spurs have to do is reach game 7 and they will win I promise! the spurs will not allow the hornets to explode like that in the 3rd Quarter anymore. spurs in 7 no fear. anybody else agree?:king:blah

I'm gonna watch game 6

But not game 7

The "watch the SA-NO games in SA only" has worked 100% for me

Our crowd is TOO QUIET. Whoever's going to Game 6 PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD, MAKE SOME DAMN NOISE!

No reason to panic. The team played like absolute dogshit tonight. Hell, as bad as the third quarter was, New Orleans gave the team numerous opportunities to build a big cushion going into the half as well.

If they play well the next 2 games, they'll be in the conference finals. If they play poorly in either one, we'll be talking about the off-season next week.

Game 7's are different animals than Games 1-6. If Spurs can get to 7, we've got a good shot since they've been in two Game 7's already and won one and nearly won the other. BUT, Game 6 is NOT a guaranteed win. Make some noise if you're going Thursday.

I would make the trip for this game, but I have 2 finals that day. But I still plan on a WCF game when the spurs get there

Not panicked.
I believe, I always do. That's what being a fan is. I don't give up, I don't jump.
Even when they play below their ability they're still my team.

I'm not panicking. We killed them in SA, and we'll do it again. Then we go back for the big Game 7, and we battle til the buzzer.

Battleing til the buzzer is what we were supposed to do tonight.

Battleing til the buzzer is what we were supposed to do tonight.

true but it is much harder to do so after coming back from a 2-0 deficit

Not looking good at all.

They'll be fortunate to win Game 6, and there's no way they're winning Game 7.

well now that i let the emotions of game 5 go, i think if we win game 6 we'll win the series........ game 7 is on the 19th, so the spurs will get plenty of rest and have played game 7's before, so they know what kind of beast it is, especially since they played a game 7 in the finals before..........

JoshTheChild

I can see this series ending up like the utah and my rockets series last year. where the home team won every game except game 7

the spurs have actually won more quarters in new orleans than the hornets have in this series.

obviously it's much easier said than done (because they haven't done it yet), but if they can just have one game on the road where they don't play like shit coming out of halftime, they should be fine.

i still strongly believe that if the game is even remotely close entering the 4th quarter, the Spurs have a huge advantage regardless of where the game is being played.

Spurs need to hold serve now (which is certainly not a given). But remember that this New Orleans team has never faced an elimination game. There's no telling how a team will react to that situation. Neither Hollinger stats or even what happened in games 1-6 is a good indicator.

I'm confident this will go to 7. What happens in game 7 is anyone's guess, but some sort of heart-breaking scenario akin to 04 and 06 would seem most likely.

I'll bet the underdog and say Spurs win after pulling away during a gutsy 4th Q. ;)

If the Spurs can somehow stop the Hornets from turning the second half into NBA Live with their sliders turned all the way up they may have a chance.

Tonight was the most frustrating loss i've gone through in a while. Game 5 against Dallas in 2003 comes to mind but tonights was so damn frustrating in the 3rd that i just felt helpless. I mean how can the Spurs not realize how important the 3rd quarter is by now especially in the hornest arena? I know we may come back and win this series which i know we are capapble of doing but i just don't get how they can not show up again in the 3rd. I just don't get it.

anybody gonna make that trip for game 7 if it happens?

I think I'm going to go. New Orleans is only about 4.5 hours from where I'm at! I looked at tickets for last night's game and the prices weren't terrible (but I couldn't go to the game - work stuff). I spent more for my tickets to a game in LA than any of the other places I've been to see a game.

So let me know if anyone else decides to make the trip maybe we can have a Spurs section and get all our tickets in the same area together!!!!!

Last night was a trap game. Spurs lost on purpose so they could get one more road game in a hostile environment to practice for the Conference Finals and the Boston Garden or whatever that building in Boston is called.
