Stoudemire in Knicks-Suns swap
Posted: Tuesday May 14, 2008 05:40PM ZT

One of the first plays Mike D'Antoni is expected to draw up as the Knicks' new coach is for Zach Randolph to jog up the Garden floor ... and out the door back to the Western Conference to rejoin the Suns. Once D'Antoni is formally named to succeed Isiah Thomas, he is expected to try to make a push for one of his favorite Suns - forward Amare Stoudemire, who reportedly have fallen out of favor with Suns management. According to a person close to D'Antoni, one of his first moves would be to get the Knicks to offer Zach Randolph and David Lee and their combined $22 million contracts as a central part of the deal."

Stoudemire playing as a back up to Curry?

Nothing screams logical than trading away lack of success for lack of success. These articles are getting old

Apparently, this is going to be a complete swap. It's an effort to move the Suns to the Eastern Conference so they can make it to the Finals and hope the Spurs don't make it there

I think they meant Damon Stoudamire.

Very true, but this is the NY media and Fans..

Evidently these dumbfucks didn't hear Stats comments after they were bounced. He basically didn't believe in D'Ant anymore.

The Meebury "trade" makes more sense simple for the fact that his contract expires next season. But still silly.

The source of this has got to be D'Antoni.

In MDA's world, everything is not only possible, but likely. We'll score so much, we won't have to defend. If we all play well, we'll win the game. I need players, I'll just take Amare with me. I'll find a way to bring Steve in too. You know what? I'll make him a few years younger too.

The original poster obviously made this up.

He didn't bother to provide a link.

Kerr maybe dumb but he can't be that stupid. If I'm Kerr I just laugh at D'Antoni.

Yeah because Amare gave such a ringing endorsement of D'Antoni after the Game 5 loss. Thats just laughable.

I heard it too on sports 620 ktar here in az. They said its just one of those sportswriters in NY who obviously doesnt have any idea on how the NBA works regarding player trades and transactions. Marbury's name also came up for Diaw and Barbosa.

So if we should believe all these sources..The knicks are going to trade Marbury, Lee, Randolph so D'Antoni can have Diaw, Barbosa nd Stoudaimire back? On top of that he wants Nash back..

Yeah nd Kerr is an idiot right?

LMAO.

The OP obviously posted this as a spin on the Barbosa/Diaw article.

C'mon people. You're better than that. Catch up!

^Exactly, it's the same wording except he changed the names of the players involved.

But the Marbury thing I think it's real, at least D'Antoni will try to make a push for that.

23 Seconds or More.

23 Seconds or More.

It would just reverse the whole "seven seconds or less" mentality that's here already. Instead of the Suns scoring, it would be the other team.

The thought of the Shaq and Zach Show is really, really funny. Maybe they could get Oliver Miller to come out of retirement, too.

Amare is going to flourish with a coach that teaches defense and doesn't make excuses. Going to the D'Antoni Knicks would be the worst thing he could do.
