First it was the flu...and than he got healthy....and its flu again?????
ive been reading this board for a while....what a bunch of uneducated people...yeah there are few intelligent posters amomg you, but for the most part its amazing what one can read here...and from the one hornets fan report of game 4 visit in san antonio....it seems there is no difference between spurstalk.com and at&t center..same oeverall low class with occasional class guy
first....hornets blow you off in first two games....you go crazy, blaming and fucking everyone on your OWN team , the coach duncan ginobili everyone....everyone sucks ...nobody believes anything more and the series is over ..almost everyone gave up!
than you got back in games 3 and 4..... and suddenly duncan is healthy and suddenly you control the series...suddenly you are the "old" spurs...and pop is the greatest in world and you all love him....and hornets dont have a chance and you wil win 4-2
than yesterday you got blown off again....than again this pessimism and bad excuses and so on....ohh we are not the old spurs....duncan is sick...referees....ohh ohhh ohhhh ...
just stop crying and bitching ...you act like small children
the series are very tied...the only difference seems the home court advantage right now...that means teams are even almost.....and it will highest likely come to a game 7 thriller....hornets have the home advantage in game 7, but spurs have the experience-advantage and when the season is on the line and 2 minutes left..... a hornet player will more likely get affected than a spurs player..but you never know
and stop bitching like you were a better team before....the west div. has maybe NEVER been as good (or at least for a long time) as it is now and the road to the championship is way harder than for any of your previous roads you have made..And you are doing it fine...if it was as good as this in any of the previous years..... you would still have the same trouble you have now ...if you faced this hornets team before you would still face same trouble
peja takes away your best defender....cp3 owns parker...west is WAY better than he gets credit for...almost as good as duncan right now..yesterday way better......!! we have a better center ... you have a better bench....

You are right, there are no excuses. Spurs are getting out played on the road, pretty simple. It comes down to attitude, not only for the Spurs but for all teams playing right now. Home team is expected to win and visiting teams just try to steal one knowing they are going back home for the next game and the players just buy into that. If you ask me I think the Pistons are the only ones playing with killer instinct right now winning a game on the road. They also knew they were better than the Magic. So this Spurs-Hornets series will be decided by the team who wants to win the most and brings their A game. Of course strategy will come into play as well as execution. Right now nobody is executing on the road.

He's a fucking douche bag AM sports radio host in Baton Rouge. I know this b/c there is no mistaking his voice. He co-hosts a show named "The water boys" but he and his co-host say "dah Wahtah Boyz". Don't know his name, don't really give a shit. The show is garbage. It's him (a white guy who talks extremely new orleans - not a good thing, and he is ghetto as can be) and a black guy who sounds like he's very educated but still just has to "hood" it up a little bit to stay fresh. It blows my mind that it's still around. It's all "well, you know... na'ameen"
After game 2 he asked pop a question and pop owned him, so after game 5 he stood up and said "hey pop its me, the know-it-all, i go back to my original question, why is it always blow outs with these two teams?" and pop just blew him off. It was great.

I never defended Duncan for playing bad. He played bad ! He missed easy shots. The blame can easily go around to everyone. Ginobili was a mess on defense and everyone that guarded D West gave him way too much space. He nailed about 8 shots w/o taking a dribble . What the fuck is that ? Make the man work for his points. Throw in a quick double team or trap every now and then.
This team has NOT played Championship caliber basketball consistently. The Phoenix Suns are a bad team. It shouldn't have even been as close as the scores in those games were.
And yes, Manu is not healthy. After 6 years, Spurs fans know that Manu is a beast that drives to the basket AND nails 3's. So far, he has settled for jump shots 70 % of the time.
Your argument that this is the best Spurs team we have ever floored is flawed and weak and makes me think that you are the little kid who played sick and stayed at home today.
The team that beat the Pistons or the team that beat the Knicks were probably the best Championship teams we've ever had. This team reminds me of the 2003 team that would jump out to big leads and then lose them. FRAGILE PSYCHE's.
The Spurs are just as capable of winning games 6 & 7 as they are of losing game 6 at home. We've seen them play inconsistently all year. IF we win will depend on IF we show up and play.-- For 4 quarters. We turned the ball over, settled for jump shots, didn't make the extra pass and had mental lapses on defense. Easy as that.

Probably so if the Hornets are smart but that will cause problems too. Doesn't matter how you try and spin it, that Peja contract along with Peterson/James is going to be a problem for your team. Your bench is weak and your going to have problems improving it in the off season. You can act like salary positions don't matter but we had most of the Robinson era to learn that giving big contracts to average players will kill a good teams hopes.
Yeah our bench is a problem because of age but the spurs have plenty of room to fix that this summer. That's why Pop is a great coach/gm, more so than the x's and o's.

I never defended Duncan for playing bad. He played bad ! He missed easy shots. The blame can easily go around to everyone. Ginobili was a mess on defense and everyone that guarded D West gave him way too much space. He nailed about 8 shots w/o taking a dribble . What the fuck is that ? Make the man work for his points. Throw in a quick double team or trap every now and then.
This team has NOT played Championship caliber basketball consistently. The Phoenix Suns are a bad team. It shouldn't have even been as close as the scores in those games were.

And that's a great point. I never thought about it that way. With Bowen on Peja that does make them cancel each other out.
The Hornets win from that since Bowen is our best perimeter defender and we're using it to stop the 3rd scoring option..

One of the primary reasons the Hornets run in the 3rd got started this particular time around is because the Spurs panicked a bit; guys weren't stick to their assignments and allowed Peja and Mo Pete to contribute to the game the only way they possibly could: hitting easy, spot-up, wide open 3's. That killed San Antonio more than their periodic scoring droughts. THe Hornets better capitalize on their momentum though and close things out in 6 because the Spurs are tough outs in game 7's regardless of the opponent or circumstance.
That said, New Orleans has a strong team moving forward, but they have a lot of work to gain a championship form, especially with the East shaping up and the West getting tougher by the season. GO SPURS!!

San Antonians are compassionate people and they proved it when they went way beyond the call of duty during this crisis.

Anybody who makes jokes about the victims of Katrina are stupid mother fuckers. I don't care whose basketball team they support. People in La were ravaged--they lost homes, relatives, and part of the culture which will take time to rebuild.
Have a heart, dammit! Basketball is a game. Katrina was a disaster that will take decades to cope with. The images of people dying in wheel chairs outside the Superdome was something I will never forget.

Hornet fans need to be worried NOW. If you follow the Spews history of the 3 Championships they won (again 99 does not count) injuires and/or suspensions contributed greatly.
Chandler looks F-UPED. Important because Chandler can guard "TIMMMMMMMMMAT!!!!!" alone. West back looks messed up as well, not as bad as Chandler so time will see.

ive been reading this board for a while....what a bunch of uneducated people...yeah there are few intelligent posters amomg you, but for the most part its amazing what one can read here...and from the one hornets fan report of game 4 visit in san antonio....it seems there is no difference between spurstalk.com and at&t center..same oeverall low class with occasional class guy
first....hornets blow you off in first two games....you go crazy, blaming and fucking everyone on your OWN team , the coach duncan ginobili everyone....everyone sucks ...nobody believes anything more and the series is over ..almost everyone gave up!
than you got back in games 3 and 4..... and suddenly duncan is healthy and suddenly you control the series...suddenly you are the "old" spurs...and pop is the greatest in world and you all love him....and hornets dont have a chance and you wil win 4-2

Thankyou Sasha, that was refreshing, and glad to hear you helped out. It's so hard for people to understand what it's like for an entire region to have their lives changed in the blink of an eye. People don't understand that Katrina is still something we suffer with every day of our lives. Everything I owned was flooded and molded, my office the same, half my clients gone, my fiance now wife moved an hour away, my best friend and roomate at the time moved to Lafayette. My other best friend to Gonzales. I played flag football every sunday, that field is no longer useable, and half my team is in different states. You name it, it will never be the same. And I lived in Metairie, a mostly unaffected area. Doesn't do much good when the roof rips off. And that's not half as bad as most every Hornets fan you run into had it. None of these people here would dare come to NO and make a Katrina joke. That's a fact. We know that, but it still won't stop the reactions.
I'm so sorry to hear all this, but I completely understand. I met some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life during the two weeks I worked at the shelter, and some of them have stayed here in San Antonio. They're very good friends of ours now, and one family lives right down the street.
I'll tell you what I learned from that experience, as trite as it sounds: I learned that we were far more blessed by being around these wonderful people than they were to be around us.
You're absolutely right that no one would dare go to NO and make a Katrina joke. I'm just really sorry that some of us are doing it here and hiding behind the anonymity of a computer.

The Hornets do have great "potential", but it's entirely possible that they could become just another Jazz of the 90's, or end up like this decade's Suns or Mavs.
All good teams whose fans got all hyped up and the media portrayed them as the "future of the NBA", while the Spurs methodically went about winning championships.
