Remind me as it seems to have slipped my mind...how many Championships has Naw'lins won in either the NBA or the NFL? All I can remember about your city's teams is both the Saints and Hornets have been scraping the bottom of the basement for as long as either team has been in Naw'lins. I do enjoy Mardi Gras and giving the young ladies their strings of beads though.

One thing for sure though.....if and when one of your teams ever wins a championship I seriously doubt that you will find any Spurs fans calling them losers. If I remember correctly San Antonio took in several thousand Katrina victims. I guess us South Texans just have more class than some of you from down south. But, that's just life!

It had more to do with our owner and the mayor of San Antonio. It started before Katrina, it was just wrong because of how your mayor Hamburger tried to use the disaster to leverage the team much like OKC tried to do with the Hornets.

In both cases the owners were more at fault. The Arena suffered very little damage and the Hornets could have played in NO they chose not to. For that many people gave up on them. The product was good, so the demand grew, especially after the all-star game.

There was a great article in the San Antonio paper talking about how the city was wrong for trying to take the team, after the first Saints home game in 2006. It isn't the fans fault we tried to steal the Timberwolves and the Grizzles and we did take the Hornets.

I think San Antonio/ Austin deserve a NFL team.

I doubt it. Had the levees held the lose of life and property damage would have been a lot less. It would have been no different than every hurricane that hits the Gulf coast/Florida. You would have also heard a lot more about Biloxi and what they went through.

But it was a cat 5 at one time, and went on record as the strongest hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico at the time (Rita wiped that record out later in the season).
