Count on it, David West will be in the lineup and ready to play come Monday.

He has three days and a world-class training staff to get him ready.

He'll be fine.

My prediction for Monday:

Spurs will win by about half a dozen or so.

I think this is where the "experience factor" which has been laughed at by so many analysts and NOH fans, will definitely come into play.

The Spurs need to be worried IMHO. This gameplan isn't portable, it doesn't work on the road.

The Spurs can't shoot this hot in NO and they won't. They need to find a way to get easier points in the paint, otherwise NOH will blow them out again.

We'll just have Horry injured everyone.

Problem solved.

Doubt it....

I think the jitters of a game 7 will definitely come into play.

And Tyson Chandler is showing all the signs of a Kevin Garnett.

All pumped up and wild if things go his way but will definitely choke in pressure situations.

I believe in this team, game 7 is going to be great.
I'm thrilled with this win.
And, on a personal note, Duncan was incredible. :)

And Duncan at the podium just now was very forceful about what they need to do in Game 7

He was. He knows what this game is, his team knows. The Hornets won't know what hit them. The Spurs they see on their court Monday will not look like the same Spurs team they've seen in NO yet.

It's all good. I was up in arms jumping all over the place when the Hawks were giving the Celts a run for their money.

For those who think that Horry's shot on their guy, what about Chandler's "same shot" on Parker the day before? I don't even think that Chandler was called for that. It was even worse too.

Great win Spurs are not going anywhere. One last shot to beat these guys in their gym. We need some of that road magic we have had in the past to come together for this game 7.

I can't believe that people are trying to say that Horry screen on West was dirty, did they not watch 90s basketball? If thats dirty then I dont know what the hell is clean anymore then. :nope

I just don't see NOH choking under the pressure. Primarily because there is no pressure on them to win. If they lose their season is still a massive success for them.

CP3 and David West haven't choked all season long. They didn't choke in a pivotal Game 5 that they had to win and I don't expect that to happen in Game 7 either.

I just got back from Game 6...good game tonight, fun and well worth going out to. But again, we just took care of business like we were supposed to against a team we were supposed to beat. We should've won this series by now, as the favorites in the series. But oh well, extra games equals extra money for the league....Should've been 4-2 Spurs by now, but oh well, gives us extra practice for the WCF's.

And in reply to the above comments, the NOH have had many opportunities to take control of this series, they had a chance to make it 3-0 or 3-1, couldn't do it. Had a chance to close it out tonight, couldn't do it.

It's been said on here before, Game 7's are completely different animals than Games 1-6. Spurs have the advantage, whether playing in NO or SA.

Bullshit. The Hornets are competitive as hell and they aren't just some "we're happy to be here" newbies. They think they have a shot at winning it all, especially if they can knock off the champs.

That said, they haven't been chokers this season, but when have they played with this much on the line? I'll be impressed as hell if they can stay loose, but I fully expect them to feel the pressure and play accordingly.

The Hornets were expected to fold in Game 5 and didn't. If the Spurs have to rely on that happening to win they aren't in good shape.

you are such a fucking moron..how was that play dirty? Explain retard?

And, while you're at it, please explain what you think Horry should have done. Run away, catch him, duck? West jumped backwards into Horry. He should have been called for the foul. 100% clean play on Horry's part. 100% crap on the fans reaction. Everyone hopes West is OK.

They don't have to rely on that. You can't call this series because it has been so crazy. 3 blowouts by each team all on their home floors. Game 7 comes down to focus and intensity. Bottom line even if just Tim, Tony and Manu bring their A games, Spurs will have a great chance to win the game. NO will feel pressure, there is nothing like a game 7.

They were expected to fold? That must be why Vegas had them as the favorite for that game...

I slept through the game tonight to my dismay.

Watching the replay right now. Nothing looked dirty about Horry's screen. Hes an older guy, he leaned forward so he wouldn't fall down when the guy was clearly about to back into him. Not his fault West jumped into him.

I realize some of us have lives here...but how the F do you sleep through a possible elimination game 6?

I watched the game with some friends at a local bar here in Tampa. It was sweet beyond words. When Manu nailed those back to back 3s at the start of the 4th to push the lead to 21, I cheered and pounded the bar. Some people stared, some just smiled. The Spurs made a few mistakes last night, but they were minor and not enough to derail the Game 7 train...that was some SPURS BASKETBALL we saw last night. Now, they get one more chance to win one on the road. I hope West is healthy for Game 7...I don't want any * on this series if (when) the Spurs win it.
