May 16, 2008 -- Spurs coach Gregg Popovich won his 99th career playoff game Thursday night to match Red Auerbach for fourth on the all-time coaching playoff wins list. All-Time Coaching Playoff Victories
1. Phil Jackson - 186
2. Pat Riley - 171
3. Larry Brown - 120
4. Red Auerbach - 99
Gregg Popovich - 99
6. Jerry Sloan - 94

Looks like Game 7 may be a little more important to Pop too!

I think Pop could not care less.

That list isnt even correct, if you click on Larry Brown's profile, you will find that he only has 100 playoff victories

That doesn't even seem possible, but I just checked it here

I didn't mean it like that. I know his priorities as you do.

I was just posting what they had posted over at NBA.com!

Red's teams didn't have to win as many games to win titles. For 8 of Red's 9 titles (not to sound dismissive) his teams had to win only 8 or fewer games.

What's more impressive to me than the 99 playoff wins is the fact that Pop stands behind only Phil Jackson in terms of winning percentage among coaches who've been on the sideline for at least 50 playoff games.
