RUBIN: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"
McCAIN: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that."
Oh how soon they forget.

I concur, but it is against republican conservative law to change one's mind. It just isn't done by them ever at all.

i guess i could start a new thread using this thread title and substitute "obama" for "mccain" and "reverend wright" for "hamas" and see the uproar of that.
"Oh how soon they forget."

Et tu, Chalupa?
Joe, I understand and respect the fact that you support Obama, but I'm somewhat surprised, that you, a former Marine, would feel compelled to initiate a thread disparaging a former POW, and a fellow serviceman.
The attacks are going to come, but I would have had you pegged as the least likely to engage in, let alone initiate, an assault on McCain, especially on a trivial matter such as this.
Extremely disappointing Joe.

Give me a fucking break.
McCain was in favor of negotiating with Hamas. Good job whining instead of addressing the actual issue.
