What happened to David West? He basically disappeared after the 1st quarter and was really never a factor. I was so focused on what the Spurs were doing to guard paul that I didn't pay much attention to West..

So what did they say?

Paul and West both disappeared in the second half. You could see CP3 getting nervous and desperate.

They are young and very good. But they choked like a Peja tonight.

Why do you still have $1523 in your vbookie?

A real Spurs fan would have bet all their virtual cash.

With Oberto and Finley on him.

But with KT and Timmy, he sucks !!!!

He is basically a jump shooter; put a body on him and he barely scores 10 points

:tu to CP3 and David West(despite the 4Q disappearance). And JP.

those guys were awesome.
If not for a defensive team like San Antonio, I don't know if they can survive.

Let's give credit to them.

He's had a bad back for the last 3 games and he averaged 20 and 9 for the series (and had 20 and 9 tonight). He's very good. The Spurs would love to have him. He's extremely versatile and causes a lot of mismatches.

True, but I'm not sure if he'll be that good for the rest of his career I mean, he is not that versatile; opposing coaches will figure out his game quickly

He averaged 21 and 8.5 on the season. So I guess he's not as shitty as you think. I know you LOVE to think that every opponent sucks and is overrated, but some players outside the Spurs are actually good.

Yeah, but I wish Paul didn't whine that much during the series.

It was annoying

I don't think that every opponent sucks. Can you back this up please ?

And Paul makes his life easier, and I'm still saying West is overrated

West is definitely not overrated. But he hasn't really reached a superstar status, a guy who can make everybody around him better. A good offensive machine, a matchup hell, defense in progress, i'll take him slightly over Amare - only for his defense. He's progressing quite nicely though, a really hardworking guy.

West looked sick, C3PO looked like he was in shock. "We won right?" "Everybody likes us more, right?"

I think both would make great Spurs. Their time will come.

West is very good, but I agree he is slightly over-rated. His offense is simply pure, but his defense is no where to be found. He does not deserve the respect from the refs like Timmy has earned over the years. But it is pretty obvious that the NBA deeply desires the younger, quicker style of ballers.

No matter what the media put out, I knew West could not be at 100%. I think after halftime that back started tightening up and was giving him problems.

And as much as they denied being "nervous", I say how could they not be nervous. This was the biggest game of their professional lives.

I hope everyone, including the Spurs take this as a sign of things to come. There aren't going to be "just RS" games to lose in the WC. Every game will count. NO will be just as good next year. The Lakers, possibly the Trailblazers, Utah, Phoenix (although we do own them it seems), even the Kings could rise to the top of the heap.

Props to the Hornets for playing a hell of a series. It was in doubt right down to the final two minutes. Spurs magic happened and the NO voodoo didn't.

Now let's all hope the same holds true with the Fakers.

I don't think either one is overrated. They are just inexperienced.

Horry has played more playoff games than CP3 has played in the NBA.
