10. Saving Private Ryan

Damn good list...Alot of those movies are among my favorites as well. I have probably watched The Thing more than any other movie...any time I am channel surfing and happen to see The Thing, my channel surfing comes to a screeching halt...One of the best movies ever.

I also agree with your comments on Val Kilmer's role as Doc Holiday...I hate Val Kilmer, and that movie is not one of my all time favs, but he was fucking awesome in that movie and did deserve an Oscar IMO.

Would I be off if I guess that Escape from NY is probably among one of your favorites as well? You seem to be a fan of John Carpenter and Kurt Russell...as well as their memorable pairings.

I thought it was a good movie but the thing that made it memorable to me was Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holiday...

Talk about a bad ass. Doc Holiday was a dude you did not want to fuck with.

No, I haven't seen it but I'll keep an eye out for it.

What made that scene so awesome was that Piper and Keith David were actually fighting...there was no script or choreography to that fight, they just fought and the only thing they faked were the punches to the head, but all the throws and stuff are real and Keith David actually did win that fight....IMO that's what makes it so realistic and brutal, because it was pretty much real.

Piper will never live down the fact that an actor beat his ass.
