What a way to get to this great milestone, an improbable win where most people did not give his team a great chance to win. Winning at a venue where his team was blown out of the gym 4 times this year is all the more sweeter too.

Now Pop has to make some headway in trying to make up ground on Phil Jackson who is the all time leader with 77 more victories than Pop.

Pop deserved this win in this series making great decisions, and all the right moves after his team was in that 0-2 hole(Putting Bruce on Peja and starting Manu)

We love you Pop.

Man do I hate you at times, Pop, you stubborn obstinate prick!! But you are still the best coach in the NBA and you make me eat crow time and again.

Seriously, he is not underated at all any more. I have heard from numerous national scribes and NBA players that Pop is the best coach in the game today.....and I agree.

Congrats Pop! He's a good coach, he knows when to tighten the grip on players and when to loosen up! He is the perfect fit for the Spurs.

Pop may never catch Phil...not that he needs to imho. Pop has already secured his legacy. :)

I bet TP never would have thought that Pop would ever loosen up the reins that Pop had on him the first 4 years he was with SA.

:lol

Pop truly trusts TP to run the show now and that really makes the team flow better, IMO.

Pop called some great timeouts to stem those Hornet runs tonight, gotta give him some props for that. His defensive change on Peja a few games ago was brilliant.

Now young Grasshoppa Pop has earned his admittance to school and can learn from the Zen Master.

Hopefully he won't protest his 100th win to his trade committee

What a fucking douche, I have lost all respect for that guy with his whining about the Gasol trade and endless missives to the league office.

Didn't feel like starting a new thread so I'll mention it here:

I think Manu's now 10th on the career playoff leaders for 3-Pt Field Goals with 161 threes. He passed up Kobe(160), Nash(159), and Rasheed(159) all in one night.

endless missives??? He made a tongue in cheek comment about the trade being of questionable repute(the logo's obvious ties to LA) as did every NBA fan outside LA and you say "endless missives" ......comon Lanny, you are better than that.

:rolleyes

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant says he got a chuckle out of Popovich's denunciation of the deal.

“Pop is sarcastic as hell,” Bryant said. “So am I, so I can appreciate that kind of humor.”

Reminded of his quotes, Popovich laughed and said, “That was a tremendous, tremendous trade. I voted against it at the time, and I still do, but it was great. Who would not do that?”

Lanny, even Kobe gets Pop's tongue in cheek humor...I am suurprised that you are still so naive in some things.
