Do you srsly think Hornets> Lakers?

Why else would this be a 5 or 6 game series for us?

I think the Lakers look awesome, I wish I could be as optimistic as all my brother Spurs fans.

Because the Spurs played horrifically in the first 2 games of the series. Next.

Head to head I think they are pretty evenly matched, but I think most would agree that the Spurs match up more favorably to LA than NO. The Spurs had absolutely zero answer for David West. The Spurs threw everything but the kitchen sink at him at some point in the series, and eventually just settled on focusing on everyone else instead. The Lakers have some great talent, but there's no one on there that I look at and say, "Damn, what on earth can they do about that guy?"

Tough series but

Tim, Manu and Tony are better than

Kobe, Gasol, and Odom

We are a better defensive team than the Lakers. Tim will have a mega series against Gasol who is soft, especially on D and it will show in this series. Odom is very good but inconsistant and he is not a great offensive player, he does it in spurts. Kobe is Kobe you can't stop him but if Manu is giving you around 20 a game same with Tony, with Tim going for 25 and 12 which i expect than we got this shit.

Spurs won't take the Lakers lightly. All the guys packed up for three games before they went to New Orleans. That should tell you a lot about their mindset.

Spurs exhaled a little after Phoenix and relaxed.

I have to go with the matchups answer on this one too. Hornets were a matchup nightmare for us with Chandler, West and CP. The only player who will be a nightmare matchup for us is Odom. We don't have an answer to him. Of course there's Kobe, but Bowen has a pretty good track record on him. No one can really guard Kobe, but Bowen is the best in the league at it.

I am very interested in seeing how Udoka is used. He's going to be our x-factor. I could see him being used on Odom because of his strength.

Pistons are going to hand them their asses in that series.

Forget about Kobe and match up problems with him... who do you have to match up vs. Odom?

Flip it around if Spurs>Jazz why anything less than 7, I think the spurs can put up 4 extra points in a game 6

that's only if you think an aging and Spurs team is better than the Jazz. Last time I saw the Spurs didnt win that regular season series v. the Jazz

Last time I "saw" they didn't win that regular season series versus the Suns or Hornets either.
