The Cavaliers must improve to reclaim the East. After losing to the Celtics, James made it clear he wants the team to find him some help this summer.

“We need to continue to get better. We know that,” James said. “If that means some personnel changes that need to happen, then so be it. The teams around us in the league are continuing to get better.”

The Cavaliers have yet to bring in a second dependable scoring option, a “sidekick” for James, who scored 77 points in the final two games against the Celtics while his teammates pitched in with 84. And Gilbert disputed the necessity of needing more than one star to win it all.

“There are a lot of ways to get to a championship,” he said. “Do you call (San Antonio’s) Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili sidekicks to Tim Duncan? I don’t think so. There’s a lot of ways to win a championship in this league. We’re going to find a way—that’s for sure.

I think that Lebron was saying that Manu and Tony are closer to equals than to sidekicks, but I'm not sure.

Manu and TP are sidekicks like the Green Lantern and the Flash are sidekicks to Superman.

Don't bank on your team bothering to improve this offseason. Take a look around, Lebron. You are in the hands of your enemies.

+ 1

I think he's saying that Tim, Manu and Tony are all on the same level right now and they're all go to guys for the Spurs.

Look at those stats! How is that normal? 30/7/7+! Thats not normal! All LeBron said basically is the Spurs are great, and have three great players who can take over a game at any moment. I love LeBron because of his all-around game. He will be an All NBA D first teamer before its all said and done. They can and will get him some help. For 2 straight years they almost ended up with Michael Redd. They have a first round draft pick. Wally Sczerbiaks contract is gone, and they WILL get him some help.

yeah, Lebron words are complimentary Manu and Tony. Spurs have a legit triple threat and he recognizes it.
This is good. It means Lebron doesn't mind sharing the wealth or spotlight, in order to get to championship team level. Basically he wants real talent by his side . :lol

:lol

Spurs Org is deeper than people know. They're so damn smart in prolonging their title run. They already have Durant's hopes dashed.
I bet Ferry even hired Lebron a crappy jumpshooting coach last offseason, after Lebron was so determined to correct his weaknesses after last year's finals sweep.
Lebron is so screwed. :lmao

I hope you realize that LeBron didn't make the comment about Manu and Tony, the Cavs' owner Dan Gilbert did.

Um, I can think of one way his teammates could improve--Finley and Bonner for LBJ, Danny?

Why did he leave this, chunk out?

I read it in Lebron's voice for nothing.
