Lakers have 14--5 of them in Minneapolis
Pistons only have 3; that Rochester Royals team is now the Sacramento Kings
Warriors have 3--2 in Philadelphia, 1 in Golden State
The Syracuse Nationals had 1, then moved to Philadelphia & became the 76ers, where they won 2
The Baltimore Bullets won a title in the 50s, then folded--the current Wiards don't even claim it
The curent Washington Bullets/wizards have 1 title

No, they made the finals twice, losing both times: in '55 to Syracuse, and in '56 to Philadelphia

Thank you very much for the corrections. I sort of hastily went through NBA.com's history page of former champions hoping to prove a point with this post; the point being: Look how lucky we are!
Our small market, forgettable Spurs are among the upper echelon in championships won! Look how many Spurs there are among the top ever NBA players in playoff statistical categories. And look how many teams have never even won a single championship!! Look at the poor Mavs, and those title starved Kings. Then look at those lucky Lakers and Celtics. Then look at us: Your San Antonio Spurs. Seriously.... just sit back for a second and think about how lucky you are. Compare yourself to the die-hard Chicago Cubs fan or the playoff victory starved Dallas Cowboys fan.
Consider yourself blessed Spurs fan. Imagine if you grew up in Atlanta....now imagine how much you would envy the Spurs...

The Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons had back-to-back NBL titles in '44 and '45.
(I know, I know, what kinda 4-F losers were at home playing games in '44 and '45? Still...a repeat's a repeat...)
