LIFE WITH THE SPURS
How I spent my night trapped on the tarmac, by the San Antonio Spurs:

Manu Ginobili: "I kept reclining my seat over and over and over again to remind myself of sound defensive fundamentals."

Tony Parker: "My night was spent listening to Eva scream at me on my cell phone, saying this was the lamest excuse ever and that she knew I was with another women and that I would pay."

Tim Duncan: "I just stared straight ahead and without emotion, patiently waiting for the delay to end."

Damon Stoudamire: "I stayed up all night worrying they were going through my bags.

Matt Bonner: "I joined the 14-foot-high club."

Michael Finley: "I watched 'Into The Wild' and then thought about who I would eat on the team if we were stuck in the plane much longer. I decided I'd start with Jacque Vaughn. He looks tender."

Bruce Bowen: "I actually spent the night in a holding cell for elbowing a stewardess who told me they were out of peanuts."

Fabricio Oberto: "I let my coaches take turns braiding my hair."

Robert Horry: "I slept peacefully until the maintenance crew got close to finishing, and then they woke me so I could tighten the final bolt."

The Stoudamire and Finley ones were funny. The rest of them sucked.

That guy is trying to hard... I hate forced humor. It's like having to push hard to shit. It's too much work and it doesn't feel good. The best ones are effortless.

Yeah, that was incredibly forced.

wow you guys have a weak sense of humor. Most of those were good. Bowen's and Oberto's especially. Though duncan's, stoudamire's, and horry's sucked.

they were hit or miss.

The Finley one was good.

The rest were unoriginal and typical lazy ESPN attempts at humor.

I laughed. The Finley and Bonner ones made the article.

I laughed. Amusing. I thought the Stoudemire, Finley, Bonner and Horry bits were especially amusing.

The Duncan one is right out of The Onion one that had him "staring at a wall" waiting for the season to start.

It was kind of funny. It reminded me of something my 16 year old nephew would make up. I mean come on ESPN, do you guys ever act professional?

Stoudemire's was flat-out hilarious. Finley's was kind of generic and forced but turned out to be worth it. Bowen's was obvious but still generated a chuckle. And Horry's was classic.
