I can't even believe the Spurs were in that game after all they've been through in the last couple of days.
Give me a break, already.
So, they blew a 20 point lead and a chance to split the series (they can still split it on Friday).
By the way, that out of bounds call late in the game sucked balls, but NBA refs aren't perfect.
Here you go, LA: *

This is gonna look a whole lot worse after we go down 0-2 again. Their confidence is high now and they feel like they own us. Plus we can't expect fisher to go cold two games in a row. GRRRRR!!!

Spurs almost pulled off a game 7 win on the road as well as a road win in game 1 of the next series on the road within 48 hours. Back to the hotel, sleep a good 10 hours, and all will be good on Friday night.

Not mention Odom and Bryant giving away another half like he did tonight...I just dont see it happening...
I wonder if fatigue set in the 4th quarter.
The Spurs were missing shots and getting outhustled.

Kobe will not have a half the rest of the series where he's as passive and unimpactful as the first half tonight. Not a chance. He went way overboard with the "let the game come to me" routine.

They just went through one of their offensive funks -- HELLO, the same droughts they've been having all season long, including 3 games in New Orleans.
THey'll bounce back.

I'd really rather him be his GENUINE selfish bitch self, than try to improve his teammates.

Agreed. The whining bitch-fest threads all need to be deleted.

Kobe just needs to find the right balance. If he is aggressive, the Spurs must respect him as he is really the only player we have that you can't guard 1-1. He opens up the floor for everyone else, it all starts and ends with Kobe.

True, but I expect Manu to bounce back. Even a 10 point/5 assist/0-2 turnovers/5-12 FGA game would be a tremendous improvement.

Amen, brother.
*one day of rest after sleeping on a plane and playing a huge game 7 - they were clearly fatigued,
*injured Manu played the worst game of his career,
*no calls in the last 18 minutes of the game,
*on the Faker's homecourt.
I am amazed we didn't get blown out!
You'll see a very different team in game 2.
I'm not worried at all.

Yeah come out in game 2 the same way you do tonight, and you might have enough juice down the stretch.
I mean Pop can't fuck up 2 straight games
(what about the new orleans series)
Oh yeah :pctoss

The Lakers didn't play their best basketball and still won. If the Spurs played the Hornets or any another team, they would have won by 25.

Kobe took 1/2 game off and still won the game for the Lakers. What was impressive was the body language of the Lakers especially when they were down. It really looked like they knew they were going to win the game, and they did.

Bullshit. The ONLY one who didn't look totally defeated when the lead was at 20 was kobe.

The Spurs didn't play their best either. They did in the beginning, but ran out of gas at the end.
I expect a better effort on Friday. Keep your seatbelt tightened.

100% of teams on the road have a chance to split the series....
but dont blow 20 point leads.

Have you already forgotten game 6 in Utah? Granted the Lakers won, but they won because the Jazz were bricking shots, not because of stellar Laker play.
Laker fans seem awful happy with their teams execution when in reality the Lakers played absolutely horrible all game despite some Kobe clutch shots.

Are you an idiot? The Lakers played brilliantly for nearly 4 quarters. Utah got hot in the 4th and stormed back the same way NOH did to your team in Game 7.

Yes it DOES! You DO NOT give up 20 point leads to ANY team in the playoffs - especially one that you're clearly better than. They'll not be able to get this game back. All they can do now is get Game 2.

For me, it's not just about this game. This is becoming a trend, especially on the road: halftime lead, proceed to choke it away and lose. They did it 3 times against the Hornets, and barely won game 7 (they really tried to lose that game, but Pargo is not Kobe). They Sunned the shit out of this game.

Stellar plays, bricking shots, cluthc performances...all part of the game my friend. No matter what...it added up to a lakers win.

If Bowen is gonna be that ineffective guarding Kobe than adios Spurs. If they double him more as I think theyll do in game 2. Then Fish and Sasha will go off. Spurs aint winning game 2. Road teams usually have one good effort on the road, which was game 1 for the spurs tonight too bad they lost. Not to mention this game was a spurs type game and we still won. LA can only get better from here. Duncan was a beast unlike the last series. Im sorry Spurs fans but the Spurs players and coaches are hurt by this lost as they have already admitted. Ask the players how important this loss was given the control they had in the game. No one knows better than them. This loss will haunt them when the lakers steal a game 3 or 4 in san antonio and its 3-1 coming to LA for game 5

We fucking sucked like shit to give up a 20 point lead especially to the dickhead Lickers.
But the fuckers who are crying like little girls in this forum need to grow a pair of balls or get the fuck out of here and go sign up at Lakersground where you can be with the rest of the Laker dicks.

Come on man, you still haven't gotten used to this yet?
People in chat were claiming sweep in the 3rd, imagine what was screamed when we lost?
I told them it was just the 3rd quarter and no mather what happened I liked what I had seen so far. Having that big a lead was very uncomfortable for me and I was laughed at for saying that. I know how we do and unfortunately we did again.
We weren't supposed to win game win after 11 hours in a plane following a game 7.....but we still just gave away the game.
Why y'all panicing?
It's a best of 5 and the series start when the home team loses.
Friday is our time to shine.
Mark it.
