Now that my initial disgust has worn off I can go into optimist mode. In the 2003 WCF didn't we blow a big lead to dallas and lose in game one? We still won that series! Of course we had home court then but still...if we win game two it's a brand new series heading back to SA.

BE-FUCKING-LEIVE!!

Well you see Dirk is a fucking coward who loves to choke in the playoffs.

And Kobe well, you saw Kobe tonight.

2003 team > our team now

Not really...this is more in line:

2003 Tim Duncan >>>>>>>>> 2008 Tim Duncan

and that goes for every single facet of the game...that Tim almost ALWAYS came up big for us in the 4th quarter. This one tends to go MIA in the final minutes of games.

Actually, we were in worse shape in 2003 since we began with a game one homecourt loss.

Not close to worried. Disappointed but not surprised tonight.

Actually the big choke job that series was blowing a 19 point lead in game 5 at home while being up 3-1 and the Mavs didn't have Dirk. Thank god for Steve Kerr and Stephen Jackson in game 6 or who knows what might have happened.

Yeah, pissing away huge leads after halftime has pretty much bean the Spurs MO for the past 6 or 7 years. Somehow though we've managed to win 3 championships while pissing away those leads and losing games because of it.

well that's natural..Duncan was in his prime at that point..2003 Duncan was one of the greatest individual years in NBA history..regular season MVP, finals MVP, 25-15-5-3 in the playoffs(all leading the team), not even a near all-star on the roster to support him..

the supporting cast on this team is much better..

tonight's loss has nothing to do with Duncan..he did everything he could on both sides..

All teams give away big leads. We tend to only notice it on our own team because we're so close to it, but it happens a lot.

2003 team > our team now

LOL, not even close, Manu and Tony were both a mess back then more often than not. 2003 was the Tim Duncan show.

You had fucking D-Rob who was still a monster on the glass and could still anchor the paint as good as anyone in the league.

Yeah right!!! This group of Spurs is noted for totally blowing at least one and sometimes two games in a series, even when playing the Denver Thuggets. But, they ALWAYS come back from the dead and win another Championship. You are just too used to watching your Phoenix Sunettes, blow series after series after series come playoff time. Nobody expected the Spurs to win tonight after what they've been through the past couple of days but, none of us made any excuses. We just ran out of gas and lost. Not the end of the world by any means. As this series progresses you will see the Real Spurs team (the 1st half team tonight) come through in the end. In fact tonight should be the 'Bitchslap' we usually need to get us going. After all, our average age is about 87 years old and 10 of our players are senile and suffer from dementia and fragile bones. We'll have our hearing aids with new batteries, our wheelchairs tuned-up and the wheels greased for the rest of the series!

SPURS In 6...!!!

Never pinned this loss on Tim, just said that he was too passive at times in the 4th quarter. Despite that he was the only one who brought it for all 48 minutes.
