Skip doesnt know jack about basketball. Every time he talks about any team in the NBA, he just babbles on about whats in the headlines. He never has any real insight.

:lol I was about to start a thread.

Skip is right on. Spurs didn't need this game. Would it have been nice? Sure.

However, the Lakers needed this game. If they would've lost this game, I think the Spurs would have finished this series up in 5 games.

Spurs are fine. We just need to make a few adjustments.

Skip mentions that the Spurs blew a huge opportunity and acts like it's nothing. You can't give away games in the playoffs and act like it's nothing, especially against this good Lakers team. And his whole argument that the Spurs "conceeded game 1 away and were shocked to be up by 20" is fucking ridiculous. I'd like to know who his "san antonio sources" are, because I guarantee it's no one from the team. That's just people talking just to talk.

Skip's one saving grace to me is that he's a spurs fan. Other than that, he's a stupid babbling idiot.

Exactly, even when he talks good about the lakers, it pisses me off. He really does not know what he talks about. It's as if he reads NBA stats, watches highlights of NBA games the night before, and bables about it the next day on the show, not knowing anything about the actual teams, players, etc.

He just bables.

to his credit, at least since I've been following the past 2 or 3 years on first take, he's remained a "loyal" spurs follower so to say. he's never really jumped off the bandwagon, even when things look bad. his problem is that he doesn't make any sense when he talks unfortunately.

Skip Clueless is just that, he does babble 99.9% of the time especially about basketball because he know nothing other than the media hype and middle of the year talk. If you enjoy his style fine but don't go overboard an appoint him saviour of ESPN or any other media outlet.

:lol:lol:lol @ anybody who thinks Skip is knowledgeable just because he hopped on the Spurs bandwagon a couple of years ago.

He ragged on our guys for YEARS. He was one of the first people to talk about how boring the Spurs were when they were knocking the Suns around in '05.

It's only since some of the other sportswriters at ESPN (i.e. Woody Paige) started to call the team boring that he changed his tune.

He's not really on the Spurs bandwagon - he's just a contrarian to whatever the national vibe appears to be.
