View Full Version : Should Horry and Barry see more minutes tonight ?

Horry : I thought he did a good job defensively on Odom, and wished he played more minutes in the 2nd half. Moreover, when the Spurs tried to win the game with a 3, it looked liked he wanted badly to take that shot, which means he is 100% in playoff mode.

Barry: He had a 3 in game 1, and had a terrific game vs the Lakers earlier this season. I'm not sure how he can match up defensively vs more athletic players, but his IQ, passing, shooting, calm and confidence will be more than welcome.

Bottom line: they should play more, especially with Finley and JV sucking; I can't take this anymore

Definitely. I was at game 1 and honestly, it scared the living daylights outta me everytime Horry was on the court. Also, on that last play when Horry inbounded, Kobe went over to Lamar and yelled to him, "Don't leave Horry under ANY circumstance... GO OVER THERE AND STICK TO HIM."

You were at the game? Lucky you !

Kobe knows Horry well; I wish Lamar left him open though

Yeah I've had the flu all week, but I sucked it up and went. At one point, I ran to the restroom and hurled out some food. Not good.

It was a hell of a comeback...! I'm thinking about going tonight but I need to take it easy. There is no taking it easy playing the Spurs though.:lol

yeah I would like to see Brent get some more minutes especially if Manu plays like he did last time.

Short answer yet depending on game situations.

With Finley one has to gauge whether or not he is hitting his shots. Usually you can tell within a few if he is on or off. That would require an offensive in-game adjustment, something Pop is very dim at.

Barrdog could run the backup point for small stretches and has done so successfully the few times Lord Poppy has allowed him to. Especially with a 20 point lead. Oh no wait:bang

For sure both of them should see more minutes.

Is 88 minutes enough for them to see?

Not to mention that both Rob and Brent didn't play as much as the other key players in the previous rounds, so they can bring fresher legs

Barry, definitely..Finley shouldn`t be getting any minutes over Barry IMO..Brent is superior to him in every aspect of the game..

it`s Horry time right now..I`d rather see him instead of KT, because Kurt doesn`t really have anybody to defend since they don`t have any big bodies outside of Gasol..

I don't know about Horry, but I would definitely play Barry over Finley if I was Pock.

Good point.

And if Duncan is in foul trouble, Pop can alternate btwn KT and Fabs

Ok soon you guys want to play some 40 year olds heavy minutes....Horry is no more than a 8-10 minute a game player who needs all his energy to be able to shoot the ball at the end of the game and Barry wont be able to guard anyone on the Lakers even though he will make more 3's than Finley

if Finley misses 2 consecutive 3s. sit his ass down and put Barry in.

Horry WILL get a lot of minutes. Pop was specifically saving him for game 2.

We don't necessarily want them to play heavy minutes, but more than what they have played so far.

I would like more Horry on Odom than Finley on Odom. I would like Barry to replace Tony Parker when Parker goes to the bench instead of Vaughn. I would not mind a bench that includes Barry, Manu, Horry, Thomas, and Finley.

Give Matt Bonner more playing time.

Vaughn doesn't stretch the defense. L.A would love to leave Vaughn open from 15ft so that he could take the shot.

Bump.

So, Pop finally woke the fuck up.

I hope he keeps playing him instead of Finley and Vaughn
