Tom Orsborn: Count on Spurs shooting better at home
LOS ANGELES - That's not my opinion - it's Derek Fisher's. The Laker guard doesn't expect the Spurs to clang away at a 34.5 percent clip at the AT&T Center like they did tonight.
"Our defense was active (in Game 2), and we did try to make it difficult for them," Fisher said. "But they missed some shots that they are very capable of making and we can expect all of those shots to go in Sunday."
Fisher also says it would be foolish to count the defending champions out even though the Lakers have a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, young legs and a significant edge in team speed.
"Those guys are the defending champions, and there isn't any reason for us to think that their time is up and that they'll just step aside for us," Fisher said. "It's going to take a lot of work to eliminate this basketball team, and we have to be willing to continue to raise our bar to make sure that happens."
