Which is better?

Help settle a debate I have been having.

Schlitterbahn!

It's much closer, you don't need a travel agent, and it won't cost you $2000 to go.

Any pics of you at Schlitterbahn?

schlitterbaun easily no long lines to wait in except that blaster one

But Disney world has castles, a parade, Mickey Mouse, AND waterparks.

The commericals don't go: " I just ______ ( fill in accomplishment). I'm going to Disney World" for nothing.

The commericals don't go: " I just ______ ( fill in accomplishment). I'm going to Disney World" for nothing.

Players in other sports use that line when they win championships and stuff but the commercials are usually only done with the Super Bowl winners.

I've been to both but I like Schlitterbahn better. I went there every year for my birthday until I was like 17.

I remember the Minnesota Twins were in a "going to Disneyland" commercial after they won the series in '87.

Disney World is pretty fun no matter what your age is. MGM studios is awesome, and Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, and the Star Wars rides are great. Plus, Disney World has some great restaurants in its hotels.

There is so much more to DisneyWorld than just the Magic Kingdom. MGM, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, the water parks, it's really an experience whether you have kids or just want to have fun. But you need to time WDW so you don't go during peak periods - I highly recommend the "unofficial guide to WDW" book that gives a lot of good tips.

Schlitterbahn is fun for a day or two. WDW can give you memories for a lifetime. Yeah, Schlitterbahn IS a lot cheaper. If that's your sole concern then head up the road and you'll have a good time.

Please.

Schlitterbaun hands down.

Unless, of course, you can't swim.

Even so, you could always wear a life vest.

One to maybe two day event in Schlitterbaun

One to two week event in Disney World.

There are 1000X more things to do at Disney than at Schlitterbuan. But Schlitterbaun is a nice day trip.

Yes, but Disney World is in Florida.

Schlitterbaun is in TEXAS.

TEXAS>>>Florida.

Man I really want to go to Schlitterbaun. It's the ultimate waterpark.

Didn't they have a fire yesterday?? I saw on the news last night, but I cannot find the story. It really wasnt that big of a deal, but an employee tried to put it out with a fire exstinguisher, and made it worse.

BTW Disney World is much better, but if your on a budget then clearly Schlitterbahn. Disney just has so much going on and alot of time and effort into every ride and show. Disney is an amazing experience if you get to go. I have been three times myself and would love to go again.

and?

So just because Schlitterbaun is in Texas it wins hands down.

I love Texas just like anyone else, but that reasoning alone is stupid.

You CAN'T compare the two. Seriously.

That's like comparing Chuck E. Cheese with Six Flags. Schlitterbahn is a water park, Disney World is an amusement park. At one you float and play in the water, the other one has rides, and shows, and hotels and five-star restaurants.

Schlitterbahn vs Splash Town
Six Flags vs Sea World
Chuck E. Cheese vs Gattiland

Those you can compare.

Disney is nice but it does require a lot of time to enjoy the full experience. Hot, crowded, expensive.....it seemed to me that I had to work real hard for every little bit of fun I had.

So the criteria is based on the dress code, or lack thereof?
Interesting.

Bikinis are for the young. Mickey Mouse, Cinderella's castle, the teacup ride- those things are forever.

More reason to go to Schlitterbaun while we're young.

We can go to Disney World when we're in our 80's.

What the hell? Schlitterbahn and Disney World can't even be compared. Disney World is a premiere themed theme park with so much variety and weeks worth of entertainment, not to mention one of the most viewed places in all of America, and Schlitterbahn is just a cool water park.

For those that complain about the crowds and heat, I definitely recommend going to Disney during the Fall, it's almost like a whole new experience.

Schlitterbahn is just a cool water park.

No.

Schlitterbaun is the greatest water park of all-time.

ALL-TIME.

I'll offer the following analogy.

Disney World is like Michael Jordan. All the flash and glitz, but at a high price.

Schlitterbaun is like Tim Duncan. While giving the illusion of average and ordinary, it goes far beyond all expectations.

I'll take Tim Duncan, thank you very much.

Schlitterbaun is like Sequ. Yeah, he can throw a basketball into the bucket if you give him a ladder to stand on, but since I've never actually seen MJ play, that's good enough for me.

I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate Schlitterbaun.

It's way too crowded and the "rides" take forever.

It's not as good as people make it out to be.

I've never been to Disney, but it just has to be better than Shitterbaun.
