Can't see it posted anywhere but last night Horry smacked Phillipe.

David Chancellor was inteviewing Horry in the locker room and asked him 'since you played for Phil, what is he telling his players after this loss.'

Horry 'I don't really know. I never listened to him when I was there. Knowing him, he is probably telling his team it was a fluke, to not worry about it, since he is so cocky.'

:wow A spur smacking an opponent is refreshing. Nice Job Bob!

Horry doesn't think alot of Jackasterisk, does he.

:lmao He took a much more veiled swipe earlier when he said that Pop was the best coach he played for. This was an outright insult.

After how the Lakers treated him in his "slump" year in '03, I don't blame him. I don't remember Phil sticking up for him publicly (not that I was listening, though). :lol

I don't think it was an insult. Horry is entitled to his opinion. Popovich is obviously a great coach, and may even be better than Jackson. Jackson has done more with his career than Popovich though. That's a fact, not smack.

What has Phil done for you Lately?

Lately? He took the Lakers whom everybody counted out because of the trade demand of Kobe at the beginning of the season to being the #1 seed in the West. He also coached Kobe to his first MVP award. Lastly, he is 2-1 vs. the defending champions, and got their fans crying. I'd say he's done a lot lately.

LA: Where people brag about being up 2-1 (soon to be 2-2) against an "over-the-hill" team happens.

Horry can tell Lakers fans to go get fucked and I'd still love that SOB. One of my favorite Lakers Role players of alltime! I hate seeing him in a Spurs uni.

He's actually 3-1 against the Spurs in playoff series wins.

With Shaq in his prime, LEADING the team. Not prima donna Kobe in his prime

Make that 3-1. Yeah, the Spurs are over the hill. They are yesterday's news. Gone with the old and on with the new. Enough of this boring basketball.

Just because your GM is not clever enough to pull something like that doesn't give you the right to cry about it. Well, on the second thought, cry me a river.

Not crying about it at all. I have never cried about it. I could give a fuck less. I was just adding on a fact.

And it wasn't a clever trade in the least bit. It was a gift plain and simple.

Actually, the Gasol trade is a mulligan for the horrible deal with the Wiz: All Star Caron Butler for Kwame. This was one deal that allowed Kup-check to get back close to even. It was essentially Butler for Gasol, with some time in between when the Lakers treaded water.

Our GM wasn't colluding with a guy who was working for one team while being paid by another.

He's actually 3-1 against the Spurs in playoff series wins.

The only stat that matters is that he's 1-1 against a Spurs team with Timmy, Tony, and Manu on it.

Ronaldo McDonald
05-26-2008, 01:35 PM
the 3-1 stat is pointless. Two different teams he coached between now and then, as well as two different teams he's had to coach against.

I've yet to come across a logical explanation for that trade other than the griz owner wants an expiring contract at the end of this season to sell the team and did not care about winning in the near future. Also other GMs were pissed because they did not get a chance to make a counter-offer. I can't even remember the player LA gave up he sucked so bad, he was like a poor man's touriaff (sp?).
