Too many things have gone our way, this is just another bump in the road, Game 1 against Phx Timmy making that huge 3-pointer, Being down 2-0 and 3-2 and never winning a series, well they did it! Never winning a Game 7 on the road, Done! Now being down 3-1 and never winning! They're gonna do it! Dig deep! Spurs in 7. Believe.

I keep hearing about how the Lakers haven't lost a game at Staples Center since March 28. That's a mighty long time. Kinda' daunting if you ask me.

But hey. If any team can do it, I'm sure the Sperms can. I'm sure Ginosebli will choose this game to step up once again. Duncan Donuts will be his usual dominating self. Parker will see some familiar celebrity faces in the stands, and I'm sure he'll perform.

Impressive, but how about this:

Before game 4, the Spurs have never been behind for an entire game on their home court in the playoffs since 1998.

ouch!

Or how about this. The Lakers have the best home record in the playoffs and the best road record, including wins against a team with the 1st and 3rd best records in the league during the playoffs and the regular season.

Or another, we came up from a 20 point deficit because kobe felt the desire to "step up his game".

Or the Spurs having their worst playoff loss in game 2 in their dynasty era?

As it is, the spurs average more points given up then they make, and theyre the only playoff team left with a negative differential.

My belief rests on a recognizably "normal" Manu. And I believe he's been resting/rehabbing diligently. So yes, in a work-around, tangential sort of way, I believe.

I do believe we can will our way to a victory in Game 5 with Manu or without.

The Spurs first need to win Game 5, which they are very capable of if the Lakers take them lightly. The Lakers can put this game away if they want it bad enough.

a lot of things happened already which just may be the prelude to the spurs' sweetest championship.

their hardest road ever to a championship... and finally get the long elusive REPEAT.

Count me in on this one. BELIEVE.

If the Spurs win, I think they automatically become favorites again in the series. Going back home for a Game 6, there's no way they'll lose again in SA, and they know how to close a series. They will take Game 7.

Butttttt......let's not focus on that just yet. We got a Game 5 waiting for us!

You guys are dead. May as well get that fishing gear ready.
But this should be of no surprise... the Spurs have as many repeat NBA finals appearances as the Memphis Grizzlies. What's with all these expectations. You guys should feel right at fucking home with this loss tonight. The Spurs don't know how to get BACK to the Finals. The Lakers have beaten you twice in this series with Tim Duncan going for 30/18 and 29/17, so it doesn't matter what you do. You're not winning in Los Angeles.

Cats and dogs will live together!!! Jack Nicholson will no longer be a pedophile enabler!
Kobe will be monogamous!!! and he will preach the word of monogamy to Magic Johnson! (um does anyone but me find Magic's name really funny now?) okay, anyway......
okay i'm in....Spurs in seven :)

Going down the way the spurs have , as a fan you feel despondent. A day later you realise with this special Spurs team it's still very much possible to rectify. I still believe. Hopefully the players feel the same. Manu's gonna bring it!!!

That you muthafuckas are insane. You should be used to this by now. The Spurs NEVER DO JACK SHIT the year after winning a title. Maybe if they were an actual dynasty and not improperly crowned one by prematurely ejaculating ESPN, there'd be cause for hope.

Bottom line is the Lakers are a better team and obviously more hungry. So call Kenny and tell him to start the boat because you guys will be ready to start fishing by midnight.

In Spurs can get this done (bring it home for game 6 and then worry about winning just two more) if big three all have good games and Barry continue to step up.

Spurs have abiity to pull it off - win game 5, come home get any kind of win and play competitive in game 7 and it is time for some good luck in this series then! Believe!

Oh Im sorry Hollingers bitch going by numbers for everything. Why dont you stfu and get out of here, how many posts do you have again troll? By the way, Game 2 wasnt the Spurs worst loss in our Dynasty era, it was Game 4 I believe of the Pistons-Spurs Finals when we lost by 31 or 32, read up before you come and post rookie. And you know what happened after the Spurs got blown out that game? They won a memorable Game 5, sure they lost Game 6, but won Game 7 in the NBA Finals, and you know what? Spurs will win Game 5 in L.A, thats nothing, come home, win Game 6, and with all the odds still against them, win Game 7 on the road against the Lakers. You better believe that I FUCKING BELIEVE. SPURS IN 7.

05-29-2008, 02:04 PM
The only way i see the spurs winning this series is if the BIG 3 average less than 40 minutes for these next 2 games. if pop overplays them in games 5 & 6 then they will not have enough energy to pull off a victory in game 7 at LA. which means the bench NEEDS to step up big time these next 2 games. Horry, Udoka, Finley, Barry, Thomas all need to contribute for the Spurs to win this series.

theres still hope spurs fans, anything can happen....

I believe if the bench contributes, if we get def and off rebounds, if Duncan stays at his level, Parker does not spends seconds with the possesion when we are down and if Manu is REALLY PISSED OFF.

I feel that a major part of that will happen, so I DO BELIEVE.
