go missing for an entire day or two (to give them extra rest)... leave no trace of their whearabouts... claim alien abduction, a sequestering, etc.... and or absorb a fine from the NBA.

The league and TNT would have to reschedule the game and San Antonio would come out like a beast and run the Lakers off their floor in Game 5.

When the Spurs are rested and healthy... They are a better team than the Lakers.

Intentional or not, the league's every-other-day schedule for the Conference Finals has undoutedbly hurt the Spurs' chances of a successful repeat.

You're better than this.

lol.
that would be awesome, if only the league would fine them, and not leave it as a forfeit.

i think that would have been best in game 1.

I blame this on the Spurs organization for not putting together a momentum changing event like hugo the fireman. That should have helped with the rebounding struggles a little bit

Excuses...Excuses...Excuses!! If the Spurs were healthy...If the Spurs were rested...If the Spurs got more foul calls...If the Spurs...blah blah blah. The Spurs ARE NOT the better team if they can't play every other day. The Lakers get the same amount of rest, don't they? The Spurs had a 20 point lead in game 1, and lost. Got blown out by 30 in game 2. Won game 3, (with only a days rest), came back and lost game 4 at home.

It isn't about rest. It's about making shots when they count most. It's about leading the game from start to finish. It's about crashing the boards and getting rebounds. It's about winning on the road. It's about being far enough ahead that the officiating doesn't impact the games outcome. It's about Manu stinking up the floor. It's about Parker not being able to penetrate like he's used to doing. It's about having multiple opportunities to take the lead and not being able to make the shots.

There's 20 different reasons why the Spurs are down 3-1, but you go ahead and blame it on "rest and health".

Yeah, I'm sure "Hugo the fireman" could've made all the difference in the world. Are you freakin serious? Do you guys even realize how retarded you sound?

Chill....

It was only a hypothetical scenario I've never seen transpire in any of the 5 major sports (football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey)...

One that would have given the Spurs time to recover...

You are in denial if you still think the spurs are the better team.

You are in denial if you believe that a two day break here or there would not have helped the Spurs' execution the following day.

Look up the Spurs FG% on game days after 2 days rest and see for yourself. While you're at it look at their oponent's FG%...

And then look at the fact that we will have to wait 6 days before Game 1 of the NBA finals... why rush the Conference Finals?
