If Mahinmi proves to be legit this season, it looks like it could be the death of Spurs small ball. I am all for that. I am sick of seeing the ball roll around all over the floor.

The problem is, he'll be worthy of mourning once he's inevitably dealt or let go, unlike Pops whatever.

Unbelievable.

Quite true. I have been wondering when Ian would get to play. I didn't see a reason really to not let him have some time this season.

He didn't do too well in the pre-season. I wouldn't either if I had just come off of an injury that took me out for a whole year. I do not think that justifies keeping him on the inactive list for the season. The Spurs spent a few years getting this guy ready, and yet, never use him. It makes no sense to me at all.

Ian and Pops are definitely comparable hype-wise, since Ian has only done this for 1 game..

As players, they aren't comparable at all..Ian has tons more potential than Bonsu, and he actually had his big game in rotation minutes, as opposed to garbage time..

Against Lopez too.

Lopez looks like a solid big. Possible future all star.

Well, there is one big difference between Ian and Pops . . . besides the size and talent and all the other things that the people declaring Ian=PMB have to ignore . . .

Pops got a chance in garbage time to at least show what he had.

Let's see, signed by the Toros, about a month later signed by the Spurs to a 10-day, immediately plays.

Ian couldn't even get thrown an active roster bone for 10 damn weeks and 34 games.

Not to mention that injuries were what slowed down Mahinmi's development. Maybe the loss of Presti removed Mahinmi's primary champion in the Spurs' FO?

Getting him ready for another team it seems. Next we will send ginobilli to la for shannon brown.

No thanks. Oh my bad I thought you were giving away Ian Mahinmi's. No way I wanted one of those. They are so hard to clean up after and they multiply like f'n rabbits. If you have Ian Mahinmi's make sure you get them spayed and neutered.

I hope that it isn't a case. I am really hoping that Mahinmi was greedy instead. If he practices just well enough for the Spurs to not pick up his option, but remain on the team in order to get a heftier contract the next year.

Is that even possible for a player to do, and be signed by the same team?
