Horry deserves his accolades, but he seriously has to retire. This whole season he never looked healthy. He moved slow and looked in pain. He really has no role on this team going forward.

Why would he want to shake hands with the fn lakers anyway? He hates l.a. Good for him.

I am grateful for what Horry has done, but ultimately it's time for him to retire. He just doesn't physically have it anymore. Not wrong with people asking for him to be gone.

Now anyone saying shit about Duncan can fuck off

Horry can be on my team as long as he wants to be on my team.

Yeah, I am sure that nearly all of the murderous criminals in the world gave a baby a nice home.

Point is, you can't rely on the past to justify everything. Horry BLEW after that Finals series and hasn't looked back. I appreciate what he has done, but we can't just give him a free pass for a lifetime because of his performance back 3 years ago.

LakerLanny
05-29-2008, 11:02 PM
He was 0-9 from the floor in the series and it was obvious tonight that Kurt Thomas was the better option.

Props to your team and your fans. That was one of the most brutal 4-1 series ever, it could have very easily gone 7 games.

Good luck next season.

It sucks that Pop didn't play him in his last game, but probably warranted considering the situation.

You all are ridiculous for talking shit about Horry. Don't you remember the ridiculous dunks he threw down (and attempted to throw down) in the Piston Finals? Not to mention the shot?

Horry attempting that dunk from the free throw line and almost ripping off his shoulders is one of my favorite Spurs memories.

:toast to you Horry, thanks for being a Spur.

Agreed. Horry has been the man in the playoffs for so many years. Unless something physical was bothering him, I don't understand why he didn't play. If he was able, you mean to tell me there weren't any situations where he could have been used? Anyway, great career, Robert, and congrats to the Spurs on a tough series. You are a class organiation.

Horry-- Well, I'm not saying anything rude because Horry has been in the league a long time, but I honestly think his performance in the Playoffs this season were very much sub-par, and the box scores certainly show this. Who's the better 3-point shooter, Horry or Barry? The stats clearly indicate Barry, but then Barry's numbers beat everyone else as well, so I think Pop was right giving Barry what probably was Horry's minutes, but the team didn't seem like they made any effort to get the ball to Barry.

No, Horry has no reason to complain. You can only field 5 players and what the team needed tonight was not another good rebounder (such as Horry-- which he is), but SCORERES. Horry has not been scoring very well, so I don't think he should be upset.

Good grief, there are other members of the team that didn't get minutes, and they are not slouches either. Probably just one of those things of the moment. It's tough, a time like this, so maybe no one will make such a big deal about it.

Maybe not the best way to call it a career, but reality is reality. He wasn't producing, so he didn't deserve minutes. This was a do or die game. He hadn't done anything to prove he rated the floor time.

I appreciate Robert Horry for everything he has done in a Spurs uniform, but he didn't deserve the minutes he recieved in this series, plain and simple.

SenorSpur
05-29-2008, 11:54 PM
I love Horry and thank him for his contributions. I trust his walking off was not because of him being pissed off.

The Spurs were trying to win this game. They weren't obligated to play him. Anyway, he's been MIA for most of this season. He had more than his share of chances to produce in this series and was unable to do so. He was either absent, injured, out of shape, or simply unproductive.

I don't want to see the Spurs waste another roster spot on an aging vet, who can't cut it every night. I totally get the fact that the Spurs have a family atmosphere, but it's still a business. Sentiments cannot get in the way of the pursuit of a title.

Horry's had a wonderful career. He's a proud man and he's not nothing to be ashamed of.

05-29-2008, 11:55 PM
his season didn't start out well. had a hamstring injury at the beginning of the year. and just when he was hitting his stride, injury felled him again in mid-season. he never found his groove. injury has been the story of the spurs this season. that and the bench being old.

tmtcsc
05-29-2008, 11:56 PM
thank you Robert Horry for all that you have done. you guys disgust me

No shit ! If not for Horry, we wouldn't have won our most satisfying championship against the Pistons. He almost singlehandedly won that game for us when Timmy was pulling a choke job. He helped us get 2 rings and you want to trash him now ? What bullshit.

We lost because Manu was injured and played through it like a warrior. How can anyone say he wasn't injured ? We also lost because of the Lakers being the better team this year. With a healthy Manu, I think we win but at the very least we force a game 7.

Geezus...give Horry his props. He was a helluva player and suffered through alot of personal and physical problems this year and just didn't have it this year.

God Spurs fans dont deserve Horry, ever, for their reaction. Blessings stop being a moron. Even though he handed you guys the series in 03' most true Lakers fans still love Bob because 3-peat wouldnt have been possible without him. Spurs fans hate for him shows they don't deserve the clutch shots he made for them.

I was thinking of Rob before the game ended. Would have wanted to see him out there in the end. I'm torn between wanting to see him play again and having the Spurs gt younger. But Rob has had a great career, and sometimes you just have to walk away before they kick you out.

Robert -freaking- Horry gave both the Lakers fans and the Spurs fans some of their most cherished memories in the last decade and Spurs trolls and Lakers trolls alike are dissing on him....

Far as I'm concerned, as a Laker fan, hes' welcomed into my restaurant any day of the week and he will never, ever get a bill.

Good Luck Rob and thanks for the memories.
