!!HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION ALERT!!

Would you trade Tony for Miami's second pick?

It's Beasley or potentially a shot at Rose (to replace Parker).

MB, is that Ian? Where was that taken?

Mr. Body

Absolutely not. He's one of the few solid things the Spurs have right now.

Ghost Writer

Miami would not do that. Parker's effectiveness is predicated on him not asked to be "the man."

Please do not confuse Parker with a Chris Paul.

He wouldn't be "the man" in Miami. Wade would be.

Also, Parker's game is better suited with players like Wade and Marion.

Well if you guys don't want him, we'll take him! :D

All kidding aside, though, I hope you guys keep him. Gino is one of your top three players! Next year he should be a starter, perhaps?

So far since the game ended less than a hour ago, Spurs fans have wanted to trade Manu and Tony.

I'm waiting for the Duncan thread now.

Get a clue, these three aren't the problem :lol

I would gut the team short of Tim, Tony, Manu and Bowen. Every other player is up for grabs. So no I wouldn't trade Tony or Manu.

Dude, where is you loyalty. Manu is in his prime, and a multiple world champ. You dont make that trade.

Dude, where's your reading comprehenion?

I sure as hell would be willing to trade Bowen, although I don't know if there will be many takers for a 37 year-old small forward who sucks on both defense and offense now.

Buddy Holly
05-29-2008, 11:29 PM
No offense to most who have posted but what about the word "hypothetical" or "would" is so hard to understand?

I never said Parker needs to be traded. But it's the off season now, this is just off season "pissed it's off season" type chatter.

Spurs play their heart out and armchair GMs are already trading away the team's best players.

Fvcking classic.

What has Bowen done in this series?

Everything he was supposed to do.

Made things hard for Kobe. (Everyone knows Kobe is going to get his points.)
Kept him off the foul line.
Hit his own shots.

I think what needs to happen is the Spurs need to find someone capable defensively who can help limit Bowen's minutes maybe even replacing him in the starting line up.

I know it's not that simple. I'm not asking for Bowen-peak type talent but just someone capable of playing tough and smart.

Bowen didn't give the Spurs anything on offense this series and aside from that one game against the Hornets, not much in the playoffs. And Kobe was toying with Bowen the whole series and was able to school him whenever he wanted to.

I'd be open to moving Parker, especially for the #2. We need young athletic players! But who would play the point for us?

Don Quixote
05-30-2008, 12:03 AM
Bowen is not the problem. He did a fine job against Kobe. Kobe is just impossible to stop.

But yes, I would be looking for his replacement soon. And I would consider moving him for a tall 3 who could shoot it.

hold on there, young fella. bowen was one of the very few guys who was willing and making shots.
