spurs need a new starting 2 guard...and this would solve our scoring problems until duncan retires

I think his offense is nice, but he doesn't play defense and is too small to help deep in the playoffs. Plus, ugh, he's not leaving 10 or 12 million (insert Dr. Evil voice) sitting on the table to play for the Spurs.

I hope Pop would at least consider it. Iverson still has a couple of good years left in him. I kind of see Iverson wanting to be paid big though. I'd like him on the Spurs though. Talk about taking some of the scoring load off the big 3.

Being paid vs. a solid chance at winning a title,
I agree with the above poster, his "D" is suspect due to his size, but sometimes you need a little offense as opposed to more "D".

AI would be disgustingly sick on out squad...But its not going to happen...his scoring would fit nice into our system...but again its not going to happen to much money, but man oh man if AI got back his competative heart and took a pay cut to join us...watch out nba

Ok, bring him, but we'll need two balls on the court, at the same time, to keep all the guys happy :lol

Not gonna happen. The guy needs the ball in his hands a lot. With Tim in there, that would not happen.

I doubt he will opt out. However, I have always said that I want Allen Iverson here as a backup in his twilight years. He's just not in his twilight years yet ... he still averages 27/7 or whatever, so he's going to want to get paid. Spurs don't have money to pay him.

Iverson rather get paid. F a ring. 16-20 large a year is better than any rings.

AI is my top 5 favorite players for sure, but i think hes excels individually but never team wise. i know he took philly to the finals but even then, they have an unique team meaning every piece fit around iverson. they were mainly rebounders and defenders. iverson is too dominant of the ball, just imagine parker overdribbling even longer, and i dont think he'll fit here.

short answer..........no, he doesn't fit the Spurs system
