Based on this theory I have, the Lakers won't win the NBA Finals.

Each team that has eliminated the Spurs on a * way has lost the NBA Finals miserably

- 2004 - .4 shot by Fisher

LA gets their asses handed by the unknown Pistons

- 2006 - NBA Sacramento -> Dallas scheduling and bad calls/non-calls against Mavs

Dallas gets bitch-slapped in the face by the weaker Heat

- 2008 - NBA crappy scheduling and Fisher's foul

?

The rest of the years they were beaten ok.

Yes make sure you forget Fisher's "airball" that wasn't, and the fact that Fish's .4 shot was in your own building. Homered by your own freaking arena!!! ROFL!!!

Beaten in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2008. Grow up and accept it. The better team won...again.

Well the team with the #1 overall seed (Boston this year) hasn't even reached the Finals since 2003 (Spurs), so unless Detroit wins tonight and in Boston for Game 7, the Finals will be a showdown of the Dethrone the Champs Curse and the #1 Overall Seed Jinx. Karma is licking its chops over that one.

They're due enough bad karma simply from the Gasol trade alone. That one's worth a Kobe broken ankle, easily. Add onto it the Fisher foul and you're looking at Detroit pounding them in the ass in five games again.

/not that Stern would allow it to happen

You are a troll but I'm going to answer anyway so you know I'm a grown individual... despite the fact "facts" don't have anything to do with "growing up"

I said the other years they were beaten ok so no arguments on those losses against the 3peat lakers

By the way, you look like a bandwagon troll - what were you doing in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007? Crying in some dark corner?

Don't forget that Sasha 3-pointer in the closing seconds. That's bad karma for us right there.

Bad karma for that: We lose Sasha to free Agency and he joins the Spurs.:toast

I heard you might actually have a point there. But I don't think Manu likes him so much - it's said the other international players in the league can't stand the dude. Knowing this probably Pop wouldn't want to bring him in - specially after the 3pt

I wish there was a way for both the Lakers and Celtics to get karma.

Lol... you see... I'm just sad you guys bought into all the hype thing. Last night was the first game I actually watched and happened to do it when the Celtics were making their 20-0 run. I was laughing. Man Sasha broke my heart. Last night's was worth it to watch - I might even watch Sunday's game although LA will probably get that one.

It's just nice to see all the hypers running quickly to hide in the corner. Very savvy BB fans indeed.

Props to the league and the press on selling this one out.

:lol It does seem like a Spurs curse.

Of course, not sure what that says about the Spurs; They end up losing to a beatable team that ends up losing it in the Finals? :lol

The prophecy has been fulfilled. Long live the Spurs, the rigged NBA, and Stern's wet juicy dreams.
