I'll be the first to say I never in my wildest dreams expected to see a BOS-LAL matchup in the Finals at the beginning of the season. This is gonna be one HELL of a series. What better matchup to top off one of the most exciting regular seasons in NBA history?

Lakers better bring their alleyoops with them because despite how good the Celtics are, they are one boring ass team.

Am I the only one who finds it a little odd that Stern's seemingly unlikely wet dream came true? I'm not saying it was fixed, but it does make you wonder..

Pistons choked that game away. They had every opportunity to win, they couldn't make a damn shot when it counted.

I know it's kind of surreal that it just played out that BOS and LAL made it to the Finals.

But these are really the two best teams in basketball. There is no debating that at this point IMHO.

And that it took blockbuster trades on both sides to make it happen within the last year? Why would anyone find that odd?

The odds against this happening are pretty steep. I'm sure Lakers and Celtics fans are ecstatic and deservedly so.

But the rest of the NBA might be wondering why, for the Lakers especially, the finals trip was essentially gift-wrapped for them. Lots of teams could have benefited from having Gasol in the lineup, especially since the price was so cheap.

Gasol on the Cavs would have been money. Or Pistons. Or Spurs. Or Suns. Or Dallas...

It's a real head-scratcher than in a dramatic comeback year for the Celts, all of a sudden there's a magical trade that just happens to land the Lakers a player like Gasol.

The Odds, wow, who would have thunk it.

But gotta give props to both teams, they both finished on top of their conferences, no small feat.

Lakers probably can't win in 6, I say they do it in 5 due to 2-3-2 for the Finals. Celtics have been a poor Playoff road team while the Lakers have excelled on the road and undefeated at home since April.

Both teams deserved it. It's not like it's out of the blue. Both Celtics and Lakers are #1 seeds in their respective conference. Boston had the best record in the league. Lakers had the best record in the West. Both teams have a wealth of talent.

Boston deserved to win the ECF. They were the better team. Lakers were better than the Spurs.

People can claim conspiracy all they want. Both teams deserve to be in the NBA Finals.

This season is a joke. I like teams who make fair trades or groom their own talent. Not the Gasol-stealing Lakers or the rent-a-championship Celtics.

Not a lot of people are arguing that these teams suck. Aside from shoddy treatment and officiating, most people are suspicious as to how these teams got to be so good.

Sterns's wet dream has come true. Congratulations. This is what they were waiting all season long to happen. Very subtle I must add.

Asterisk worthy Finals from the Lakers standpoint. Collusion (anyone that believes otherwise is a naive fucking idiot) + EXPLICIT foul not called on Fisher = *

It's really a joke.

But I'll be watching.

I'm a basketball fan first, Spurs fan second. There's no doubt this series will be great.

Not a lot, but some are. And, those who are point straight at the officiating.
