America will go..."hey, this isn't Magic and Larry Bird like"

"This sucks!"

This will be about as exciting as the WCF in 2004, when Garnett became a no show against the Lakers reloaded.

Who do you guys think will win?

Hmmm ... Last time we had a Finals Game 7 was Spurs-Pistons, and was a close game to the end. I guess the Lakers were also bored the year before when you played the Pistons ... you forgot to win.

I don't like the Celtics and I really cannot stand the Lakers. So I guess I'll be rooting for the Celtics. Oh well.

30 million Americans, eatin' their lunch from a single bowl in their parents basement, where they're livin'. Happy Birthday, we're forty-three.

Don't want to waste those precious calories...chewin'. Jesus come move our jaws for us, help us get our sloppy food down our throats just came in their pants!!!

I'm done watching basketball until next season, but I'm pulling for Boston. Garnett put up with a lot in Minnesota and is a great teammate (even if he can be an asswhole on the court at times). No Laker love here.

Lakers in six. Too much d, heart, coaching, bench, Kobe. Should be entertaining.

I hope they both lose, somehow.

Oh, I'd also like to see that.

But that won't happen. :lol

It should be an interesting matchup.

But I don't know what's more obnoxious, Kobe and PJ or Garnett's chest thumping, grab the jersey routine.

Could be the highest rated series in what, 30 years?

I hate the Celtics (Ray Allen and KG) and I hate the Lakers (From their Coach to their 12th man).

I can't even root for either team, but if I had to, I guess it'd be the Lakers since it's better to see the team that beat you at least be the one to win it all.

Best defensive team in the league against the best offensive team in the league. And the #1 seeds from both conferences meet in the Finals. When was the last time that happened?

Of all the years for the Spurs not to have HCA :pctoss

Yup, I think the "coasting through the regular season" strategy is history.
Although with an aging Duncan and Manu, I don't think we have many other options at this point.

Celtics big 3 > Lakers* big 3

it was sight to see Bill Russell during games 1 of Spurs finals history.

So I'll cheer for them.

Go Celtics!

Why? Did Jordan join Boston or something?

And America yawned.

Of course, half of America probably thinks Magic and Larry are still playing. Maybe there is a method to his madness.

This is terrible every which way you look at it. If the Lakers win, the is Kobe better than Jordan? nonsensical bullshit begins, plus Phil Jackson gets another ring.
If the Celtics win, then KG and Ray Ray get rings, and the media is gonna start: If KG had a Ginobili and a Parker would he had won more than TD?

This is awful guys.

Right, like this series will come anywhere close to the ratings the Bulls had during their heyday.

Thanks to Stern, the NBA is turning into rollerball and wrestling.

It's all about ratings and TV contracts.

He needs to go, no sport can sustain the taint and the smell that this Commissioner ignores and allows to continue.

Even I, a devout Lakers fan since the days of Jamaal Wilkes, Norm Nixon, et. al. thinks something's not right.

Hmmmm?

More than just a few questionable calls by the refs, isn't it peculiar that the Spurs would just lie down like dogs in all but one game? Isn't it strange that Manu played like he had no manos in all but one game? And is it not downright thought-provoking that the team as a whole blew chunks at the same time in a perfectly choreographed display of ankle-grabbing?

Hmmmm?

I think the Spurs are in on it too. I'm writing a letter to Ralph Nadar.
