He was so happy just now to catch that pass under the basket and get a foul that he was grinning ear to ear. Fuck that Pop, let's win this game. Quit experimenting. :oops :drunk :drunk :drunk :drunk :drunk

Cut him some slack how many years has he spent with the Spurs for this to be his second game, he may as well be a rook.

Lol, I think it's great. At least he can say he's only played two games. Malik looks that lost and he's been here how many years?

Exactly, why does Malik still get to go on the charter plane?

Sean can't be completely relaxed out there, yet. It takes some segments of minutes over a few games to get over the excitement of just being in the game after so long a drought, to find rythym, to relax. Maybe he'll see some more time Sat night. Sure he ain't a star, but he's paid his dues in practice. A few game minutes won't hurt anybody.

I thought Marks played pretty good D when he was in there.

Robert Horry was spectacular tonight, that was the problem.

I was rooting for Sean Marks, but he had two horrible plays on defense. He made some swipes at the ball when he should have contested the shot.

You can jump, Kiwi. Don't resort to old man tactics.

Yeah. The way he's been playing he should be riding the "short plane". :lol

He had a few good plays on D, and he was up there for a few rebounds that weren't needed on offense because the ball ended up going in ... nice to see someone other than Horry making a real offensive rebounding effort.

The guy looked like he was having fun, and that's all that matters because that's what will take to get him into a little routine and playing good backup!

Sean brought some energy to the game and that was a plus. As lost as he was on a few of his assignments, he was still > Malik. He worked well for position on the boards and he mixed it up in there.

This is not to say Malik won't get back on track...he always does. I was totally surprised Malik even got another sniff of that game (last 40-50 seconds).

Malik should have to ride in the cargo bay for a while.

He was also beaten badly on the baseline by Brad Miller, I think. He contested to an extent, but got bailed out when Miller missed the shot. I wonder if it's a lack of experience, a question of being too amped up, or a lack of ability, or some combination of the three. I'd like to think it was the first two. I will say this, though: Sean didn't prove to be a liability. That's a good first step.

Robert Horry was unbelievably good last night.

I like Marks. He looks like he should be doing someone's bookkeeping, not out on the floor in an NBA game. Reminds me a little of a thin Billy Paultz-- the Diet Whopper.

"Robert Horry was unbelievably good last night."

... while tweaking his ankle and getting poked in the eye. I'm glad Pop didn't pull him out. Robert kept on tickin...
