Memphis was interested to move one of their 3 PG (Conley, Lowry, Crittenton) before the trade deadline, are we in position to get Conley or Lowry? I don´t like Crittenton. Will the Spurs be interested.

Overall Memphis seems to be on a sale out for all their players but Rudy Gay, I think they are in need of a Defensive Specialist, so may if we include Udoka we can be on the talks for any of their players, will you do it?

They are also looking for depth on their frontline and seems to be letting Kwame Brown go, maybe we can also try to convince them to get either Oberto or Booner (i think Oberto is more useful for us cause Booner can´t defend me).

Overall i am interested in any of this players from the Memphis aura.
Conley, Mike Miller, JC Navarro, Kwame Brown and Darko (yes i think he can complement TD very well)

Of those players, we could get Crittenton for the Beno trade exception. The value of the other two is out the Spurs' range. I'd like Crittenton in a Spurs uniform. He's not bad defensively, is a scoring point (which would help our 2nd unit) and his big body is a bother to smaller points (read: Chris Paul) and a good agains bigger guys, like Deron Williams.

Yes but we can also throw any of Booner or Oberto´s contract for Conley.

Lowry´s contract is also on the range of the exception.

i would be very interseted in crittenten. how much is the exception we got from the beno trade? i would also be willing to trade udoka (udoka was also interested in memphis before signing with us) for crit. never thought about this senario but i think it.

Do you really think they'd trade the 4th pick in the draft away for spare parts? Seriously? I mean, I know they did that very thing when dumping Gasol...but his contract was quite a bit harder to move.

Crittenton would be ideal in a Spurs uniform, he shoots the 3-ball and you know how big that is for our offense.

im not sure of his defensive skills but he seems like he could develop some nice defensive capabilities. i mean hes big a pg and can score so +'s all around. (and hes young :downspin:)

He surely can defend Farmar.

I read a draft-day profile on Crittendon, which stated something about he "doesn't yet know how to run a team". If that is indeed the case, you have to know that would drive Pop insane!

The Grizz would have to take David Stern's advice before any trade, so I don't see it happening.

not to take anything from tony....but tony cant run a team....its tim, manu, barry, and even sometimes fab that runs the team....tony is a scoring point guard.(dumars)..we need a point who can run the team, and not worry about scoring(take some pressure off timmy and manu having to pass alot)..or stick with our teams as playing team ball and get someone big who can help timmy downlow....after all it was timmys area (the paint) where we got pounded game after game...fab has togo to the bench, and kurt aint no starter...we need a big before a small.....go spurs go

I'm a huge Kyle Lowry fan. He may be a bit small though...but I love the way the kid plays.

Conley, Lowry and Crittenton are all out of the Spurs' league. The best the Spurs could offer would be an exception and a draft pick .... and that wouldn't be enough. Those young kids are damn good. That collusion trade Stern and West came up with didn't exactly think through the fact that the Grizzlies already had two point guards when they colluded them a third point guard. Eventually they'll probably trade one of those players away but it won't be to the Spurs.

How about Splitter's rights and an exception?

I could actually see that, ec.

How about Splitter's rights and an exception?Maybe down the line but not right now. Splitter's rights right now are probably worth less than the Spurs' first round draft pick. If Splitter actually says he'll come over for sure at some point in time, then those rights would get more valuable.

The Grizzlies will likely go another year with those three players. Lowry and JCritt can play shooting guard a bit so it's not like they are stuck with too many PGs.

The one to get, IMO, would be Conley. He's the only one of the three with near superstar potential.

It's a bit early to give up on Splitter and yeah, you probably couldn't get much back right now. If the buyout on his new deal is $500K for next summer then he could very well be on his way in then.

With Pop's comments after the Gasol trade? Anything with the Grizzlies would have to be incredible for them or a longshot for us.
