I wouldn't trade up to pickup a backup pg. I think the Suns will take him, if he's still there.

DJ Augustin needed another year. His physical game is there but he's very weak, mentally.

We don't really need to get a wing player in the draft, there's some pretty good ones available through FA.

If we can get a guy like DJ, that would be great. I've followed his game through his years at Texas, and he's a good player, just needs to get stronger.

I think he'll be a great addition and backup to TP.

Unless we trade up to at least #16, he's gonna be gone.

i'm sure horns fans would love another year of him - but his weaknesses - for the most part - still would have existed a year from now (and he would have been a year older).

i don't think another year would have helped his status.

He'll get mental toughness with the Spurs organization.

Augustin could play point; move TP to 2 - very tough guard, those two at once/Manu off the bench - Barry still hanging around. - THAT would be one hell of a guard rotation.

However....

However....

way too small a back court to play for long stretches, they'd get destroyed defensively.

I don't see Augustin falling past pick 11 (Indiana).

I loved watching this guy play in Texas but he got exposed against Memphis.

Despite his lack of size and strength, he's a very smart ballplayer, with a fantastic mid-range game and finishing ability around the rim. He'd be great in a pick and pop/roll with Tim. Solid backup, but I doubt he lasts to the 20s. He'll be gone by at least 15.
