rumored to be promised by the pistons for the 29th pick. not sure how much interest we have in him anyways.

He will play in the league for 10 years. It's a no brainer in the 2nd round. He won't be a star, but he'll be a solid role player, the kind of guys we really should be bringing into the team. He will contribute straight away and I think is underrated on offence. A few years under Thomas and working with Chip and we'll have Malik Rose back again!

he was kind of coaches son and favorite player for coach Sampson. yes, the Kelvin Sampson, who worked as a consultant (or whatever he exactly did) for the Spurs.
I can't see him NOT telling the Spurs some nice things about White. if he drops to #45 (which is very unlikely) he would be a steal. the #26 is a bit to high, some better players should be there at this point. but he could be the Carl Landry of this years draft.

Big wingspan and athletic. I'd like him at #45 but the Spurs have other needs to address at #26.

Not hearing much about him after a (likely false) report of a Detroit promise to him at #28. We have Hendrix, another PF, likely moving up the boards. Other PFs could push him back. Indiana's burnout after Sampson's idiocy could help out in a big way, as he had an absolutely terrific year even after the team fell apart. Started hitting baseline shots, can block shots, and was collecting more than 10 boards a game (with no help at all).

At 45 he would be an absolutely great pick. Easily a candidate for this year's Millsap or Carl Landry. Undersized but great wingspan and energy and smarts.

How high (or low) will the top prospects go?

D.J. White: Cavs at 19, Nets at 21, Sonics at 24, Rockets at 25, Spurs at 26, Pistons at 29, Celtics at 30, Blazers at 33. White is another guy who has played to strong reviews at workouts, but we can't find a place for him yet. The Pistons and the Celtics seem to be strong possibilities.

White hasn't generated much talk about him being a first round pick. I'm not sure where Chad Ford is getting this info.

At 26 I think he'd be a bit of a reach. At 45, he'd be a really nice pick.

I like White & Hendrix. #26 might be a little high for both, but I think they will be able to make it in the NBA as reserve hustle bigs.

White has done individual workouts for the Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics, the New Jersey Nets, the Washington Wizards, the Denver Nuggets, the San Antonio Spurs, the Seattle SuperSonics, the New Orleans Hornets and the Pistons. This week he worked out for the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
