One NBA scout, who wished to remain anonymous, said Kemp performed a little better last year, mainly because his jumper was falling.

"He shot the ball much better last year," the scout said. "But I still think he made the right decision to go back to school for another year."

The scout added that Kemp could find his niche in the NBA as a knockdown shooter.

Kemp said that's exactly how he sees himself as an NBA player.

"If I'm blessed to be able to play in the NBA, I think I'll be the guy that will be a great spot-up shooter," he said. "If there's a guy on my team that's getting doubled they can get me the ball and know I can hit the outside shot."

Because of relatively uncertain draft status -- he could go in the second round or not get drafted at all -- Kemp said he's lined up individual workouts with NBA teams.

He begins his tour of NBA cities next week when he visits Miami. He'll then head to meet with the New Jersey Nets, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Hornets and San Antonio Spurs.
